I love how its just 2 normal teenagers who are way too into sports, 2 semi-normal teenagers who are way too into fighting and deal with gangs, and then theres a teenager that kills man-eating beats and witnesses death like every other day
i personally think the school in wind breaker isn't actually a school,,, like we know gangs have bases, i think the school is their base and they just chose to use aspects of school to keep things organized! (and probably for aesthetics too) like splitting groups up into "classes" and having "grades" and stuff, but it's not like an actual learning school
It was confirmed by the mangaka on an interview that Furin High is a legitimate school (albeit a school for delinquents which does exist in Japan) with a faculty and normal classes but he chose not to focus on those details because it wasn’t relevant to the story. I implore you to view the patrols as club/extracurricular activities.
