I think Lizzie being defensive of Caroline as her mother is sweet though. While I understand that for Lizzie to be the person she is she really does come from all three, Alaric, Jo AND Caroline. Lizzies proof of that lol. Caroline gave birth to her mini-self and they’re not even genetically related lolol
I love that they made them, to have their personality’s. I love that Caroline was their mother. Just imagine tho if Jo was still alive this would be a totally different ending to the show
@@bl8892 I think it’s more of a physical resemblance in terms of complexion and hair coloring, plus Jo definitely inherited her mother’s affinity for magic as we’ve seen Josie is actually the more powerful of the twins. I think it’s harder for Lizzie to connect with that part of her biological family as she’s colored like Luke and Liv (who were similar looking to Caroline to a certain degree) so she gravitated to Caroline more and seems to have unconsciously emulated her. Even Josie herself has said “Lizzie’s just like her. you’d never know she wasn’t her biological mom”
When Ric told Caroline they weren't hers I was going to slap him. I loved Jo so so much, and her death(s) were tragic af, but Caroline was also part of their lives and helped raised them. She's also their mother, even if not blood related.

I loved that scene so much when Caroline talked to Klaus about the babies. She still insisted they weren't hers, but Klaus already knew that she would love the *** out of them. Because he knew what a nurturing and caring person she was and he knew that he was even more reluctant at the thought of fatherhood, but the love he felt made him so much stronger. I also liked the offer of Hope's old baby clothes in the Louis XIV crate. Because exchanging your kid's old clothes is so mundane and real and because meeting Louis XIV is so fantastic and surreal. And because Klaus truly supported Caroline. And he truly knew her.

when Alaric said Josie and Lizzie were "HIS" kids in vampire diaries i got so upset. it doesn't matter if Caroline was the twins biological mom or not, she raised them and took them as her own. Both Jo and Caroline will forever be the twins mothers. Jo wished she could've been there to see her girls grow up but Kai took that chance away :(

I hate how Alaric at first acts like they aren’t Jo’s kids. They may not know her but Jo knows them, and they are still her children and a part of her family, and they should have grown up knowing that. They should feel like Caroline’s their mother, but they should have grown up at least knowing who Jo was when she was alive and that Jo will always be with them, even if she isn’t really there. They should know that Jo will be watching over them and that she loves them instead of thinking she was just someone who helped create them and didn’t care, because that’s obviously what Lizzie’s been lead to believe

Yeah, that was one of the few times I actually hated Alaric. Because even though Jo would've been a wonderful mom, Caroline was put into a situation where she had to birth those babies and then she made the choice to help Alaric raise them. It was good that Ric understood that even though Jo will always be their mother, Caroline is their mom. I think he just got defensive because her life put those girls at risk, but him blaming Caroline and telling her she wasn't their mom was still a horrible thing to do.

Lizzie should have given a chance to love Jo like Josie did. It wasn't Jo's fault that she couldn't be by their side. That's why I personally like Josie more than Lizzie. I actually disagree. Lizzie's feelings are valid. Remember Lizzie needs mental help as it is shown in the show. She struggles with her emotions as much as Hope does. I wouldn't say Josie is neglected but it's obvious Lizzie had to get a bit more attention because of her problem. So it isn't surprising that she clung to Jo more that lizzie did. Let's not also forget that Lizzie takes after Caroline and Josie takes after Jo. Lizzie knows it isn't Jo's fault that she wasn't there to raise them, but imagine going your whole life being told that your biological mother was killed. Lizzie and Josie have really different personalities . Just as Josie's feelings towards Jo are valid, Lizzie's feelings are valid too.

Don't use the word 'real' because it implies that Caroline was a fake mother. The better words are 'biological' or 'birth'. Caroline is their surrogate mother (it was never mentioned by the twins or their parents that they were adopted by Caroline).
Okay so Caroline is not their biological mother, but why does Lizzie look like her? I watched the vampire diaries, but it's been a while so I don't remember how this whole dynamic goes with Alaric, Jo and Caroline.
Honestly, the way Lizzie looks, really doesn't make sense. If you're looking at the twins in the vampire diaries, they looked so much alike, I would've believed people if they said they were identical twins and then in the originals, they looked way more different and in legacies they suddenly looked like they aren't even related.

The actress that plays Caroline. Has no interest in returning to legacies. As many of the TVD and TO actors and actress. So right now Caroline is just " somewhere in Europe" trying to find a way to break Gemini curse so the twins don't have to merge. But it honestly looks bad because we don't see Caroline interact with the girls, just hear about the amazing things she does with all of them. It makes her look like an absentee mother.
