Tbh the fact he opened the doors first would've helped so much. Mercedes are well known to have sturdy sounding doors so that would've been a big clue

@@Rafael_860 Definitely. Doug will easily guess the 190E. Imagine Mat trying to guess Oldsmobile Aurora for example. I doubt Mat has vast amount of knowledge for american cars which Doug has.

There's only one thing in the air. That Mercedes had the 2.3 and 2.5 version, and its exactley the same, its very strange he didn't even considered it...

Lmfao he forgot the name and wasnt 100% sure whether it became C or E class even though it is very obviously a compact. He probably thought it only had the 2.5. How are you skeptical because of that of all things 😂

@@aleppo1 it was brilliant his discovery (apparently), the question is that the famous Merc was the 2.3 16V, the other was just a follow up going to the fantastic EvoII. That makes wonder why he looked and though of the one that nobody remembers and cares and knows. A car lover remeber that it was with the 2.3 that Senna makes his impression beating all the other F1 drivers....nah, dont buy it, but its just me. The 2.3 was the M3 challenger, for the road, track and even rally. As someone once said, there are no coincidences, in this case i just wouln't bet my 2 cents.
