I never met a Queen fan (and I met LOTS) that is a racist or a narrow-minded cry baby. Guess that's because the message is clear. Song after song after song. Queen rocks. Not always political correct, but surely humanity correct. Thanks James, for the reaction!
If you haven't, you must watch One Vision documentary. It talks about how Roger half stole the song from MLK's I've Got A Dream speech!! Great reaction. I totally agree...let's have a Queen day!!! Thanks again for all you do for us Queen fans!!
Besides the song being *great*, as always... damn, look at the way they snatched the audience straight up into Queen World... and proceeded to take them on an epic 2 hour journey of the BEST . The whole concert is available here on RU-vid... someday when you have time, just watch the whole thing (not as a reaction video, too long!)... but just watch it all, so you can see how they kept the audience engaged the whole damn time!
My favorite song. I have Queen day everyday. The get me high. This song is about unity . I feel like u. I see no color. I hope one day everyone can unity without everything being about race religion etc. That is a beautiful dream to me man. Looked at my phone this am 1st thing I saw was I reacting to One Vision. Wow how cool is that
I'm in a couple of knitting groups on FB. Someone brought up the subject of how racism isn't allowed in the group (believe it or not they felt the need to have to state this) When one lady replied that she "didn't see color. We are all the same" she got a roasting from the Mods & Admin, they said by her saying she doesn't see colour, she is in fact disrespecting the person of colour and in itself is a form of racism. Needless to say, I gave them my view, much like your own I am betting and then I left the group. No flouncing, just left.
Totally agree. My vision is, that hopefully in hundred years or so all "races" are mixed together, so that there is only one race left. Than the fucking racists can try to get this diverted :-)
I love your reactions. You have a beautiful soul young man. The first 5 songs of this show are off the charts. They segue from one song to the next seamlessly. I don’t know how they do it. Freddie is amazing here & Brian is off the charts.
Roger wrote this and was inspired by MLK speech I had a Dream. Most of the songs that Roger wrote and especially in his solo work had messages about things were happening injustices etc. ♥️
It was definitely written with MLK in mind... originally written by Roger Taylor (drummer), but with major contributions by Freddie and Brian. You should check out their “Making of” Video about this song, if you haven’t already.
@@imweakfordeaky - I see you on all the Queen reactions. Wonder why. :) I saw Queen live in 1980 and Deaky was my fave. He was so shy but he couldn't keep those dancing feet still and he looked like a bobble head doll. I played bass and drums and so naturally watched him. Since I was right at the front, he caught me staring and I was the recipient of a few of his sweet smiles. I suspect he appreciated someone appreciating him as opposed to the three flashy dudes....who were admittedly cool too! Sadly, the contribution of the bass is often overlooked and many people can't even distinguish it so the other instruments get the glory. Real musicians and music aficionados realize it anchors the band. The rhythm section is the canvas on which the other instruments can paint their picture and Deacon and Taylor were a great pair, always bang on, as one person. Actually, a good bass player is sometimes not noticed because they are so SMOOOTH. I listened to their songs a lot on good headphones and he was BADASS! I put him up there with Paul McCartney, John Entwistle, Geddy Lee and Chris Squire. PS - Love the bass runs at 5:10 onward. Too bad he wasn't louder.
Susie Q I first noticed John in 1974, when I was only 8 years old... and besides him being cute as heck (as he always was til he retired), his bass lines *always* went straight to me. I don’t understand people that ignore the bass contributions...of course I enjoy the entire band, but I can *never* ignore bass! I am soooo jealous you got to see Queen live, and got to be the lucky recipient of a Deaky Smile. (I would have died of joy on the spot! )
@@imweakfordeaky - Great meeting another long time fan. A joy back then was waiting for every new album to see what they would come up with next! Here's a clue how old I am (same age as Roger). I did the same with The Beatles. The bass always stood out for me as well. Some people are really tone deaf and just can't tell a saxophone from a cello! It always amazes me. It's also true that a lot of people are like chimps, they go for whatever is flashy and don't see subtle quality musicianship. My favorites are Millionaire Waltz and Breakthru but everything he did was great. I loved it whenever he felt relaxed and let loose which he rarely did.
I am so glad you found Queen!! Their messages are all about love and peace. Please check out No One But You (Only The Good Die Young). it speaks so much love!
James you started to watch the Wembley gig in sections a while back and I wish you would pick it up again. It was such a pleasure to groove alongside with you.
You are a gem, my friend! An old soul, perhaps? I love your honest and sincere reactions. I sent my cousin, who is an opera singer, your Ave Maria reaction, and another cousin your Bohemian Rhapsody reaction. You're getting big in Iceland! I'm wondering whether you have taken a look at Leonard Cohen or Nick Cave. They are wonderful lyricists.
"Fried Chicken." Freddie often played around in the studio with the lyrics, leaving them all in hysterical laughter. In this case, they were actually eating fried chicken for lunch, and they were having trouble with the lyric for the song....so Freddie's goofiness ended up in the song.
💁🏾♀️ 6:01-6:03 "Hey-hey! Give me, give me, give me fried chicken!" was a gag that they decided to keep in three song. Watch the "One Vision" documentary and you'll see Freddie goofing-off which loosened them all up a bit. Enjoy your reactions and this one didn't disappoint ✌🏾
nice reaction and video. I give you a big advice. this wembley concert is super. react to this concert , but you need to split in parts because the concert is quite big. There are 2 days of concert . The friday and the saturday concert. This music that you heard is from the saturday concert , the official one for the records, and the best day. If you one day react to this concert try to split in one pack. The first 6 songs and they are pure rock. "One Vision" till a " Kind of Magic" ( including this one.) . The second pack start in nº7 -under pressure till the nº13 now i am here . Third pack of songs start in Love of my life and goes till Gimmie Some Lovin . Fouth Pack Starts in Bohemian Rhapsody till the end of the concert. It will be probably be the best concert that you ever see. thats why Queen are Number 1. and no one can do what they do in a concert.
hi james if you're wondering where the 'fried chicken' line at the end comes from then the story goes.....when they were working on the song in the studio one night they were all hungry and looking at takeaway menu's, freddie was throwing in random silly words into the recording and sang "gimme gimme gimme fried chicken", so they all thought it was a funny throw away line and left it in! as a band despite being multi talented and highly educated they never took themselves very seriously and always kept their sense of humour 👑✊🇬🇧
Not sure if you’ve done these or not but tie your mother down live at Wembley is a really great song and a song with a really great baseline is dragon attack live in Montreal those are two great songs and another one which I know you’ve done before but not live is “another one bites the dust” live at Wembley this will blow you away!!
Could you react to Marc Almond and Gene Pitney singing Somethings gotta hold of my heart ,it is one of the best duets ever and was sung originally by Gene Pitney in the sixties .Id love to see you do this please
But the song is not new to you, right?? Because I know you have reacted to the video. Or maybd it was the makibg of it?? And I could have sworn you already reacted to the Wembley show in parts. It's a great song so it doesn't really matter haha. Please react to Dreamer's Ball(live).
hey my friend, you already did this remember? unfortunately your plan stopped very soon, hope you can continue at the point you stopped and do the full concert
🙋🏾♀️ Jeepster Peepster 💁🏾♀️ I do remember him during reactions for this show but to be honest, I can't say he did THIS song though...😩 Besides...it may have gotten revoked by YT as a lot of reactioners were getting those pesky copyright strikes left and right ✌🏾!
@@Motown-1966 He did see this opening song to the Wembley concert in part one of his Wembley videos, also the official video and the making of. (They're still available on YT) So was surprised to see it pop up again 😊 but I'm not complaining, honestly! I'd still watch if he reacts to it AGAIN 😁✌xxx
