I met Philx in my home town Hobart Indiana at the art theater he was such a amazing person we talked about Eddie we talked about me ,him ,etc and then he took tons of pictures with me that were fun pictures. They were awesome pictures and every time I run into them at different concerts he’s an amazing person. Can’t say enough about Philx the plus side is he freaking rocks guitar like no other💯👈🏻🎸
Yup! That sounds like Phil! Such a class act and humble beyond belief! 🙌🎸🔥 ohhh and as you mentioned he just happens to be a PHENOMENAL guitarist too! 😜🙌🎸🎸
@@MastersofShred awesome stuff! One of the few bands I got into from the start. Got to meet them a couple times when they came to England (I'm in Canada now)...super nice guys. The Gretchen tour was simply breathtaking...then again, the Tape Head tour wasn't difficult to listen to either🤣 Ty is so criminally overlooked by all the major publications which consistently pisses me off. I mean at a time when they espouse uniqueness, tone etc they simply say nothing about one of the most unique voices on the guitar. Must admit as well one of my jobs is to get the name of Brian Tatler out there. Without him and Diamond Head there would be no Metallica etc, yet he's another that gets no mentions!
Phil is top tier, one of the coolest dudes I’ve ever met. My buddy and I both grew up watching his videos so we went and saw him up the street from us when he was on tour with Kurt Diemer. I posted on his post “hey, see ya at the show” or something like that. After the show, my buddy and I were like “well, cool show, want to get out of here?” and we were leaving. While we were walking past Phil’s side of the stage, he dropped what he was doing and was like “hey, are you Dougie?” I was shocked! My buddy and I talked to him for 10 minutes and got a selfie with him. Absolutely the nicest guy in rock n roll! Without a doubt 💯
Phil is one of my favourite guitar players. He has a very unique approach to the electric guitar, so tasteful, so cool! And also, he has a great sense of humour and seems like a really cool dude. He brigs up big smiles :)
Hey, I heard a comment about Phil X's Vox Organ. Bonnamassa has One. He has it at the California Nerdville location. Just thought I'd let you know. I'm both a Phil X and Bonnamassa FAN. Ps. Also a fan of your show. Have a good day 😊
Hey man! Thanks so much for that info! Could you imagine if that Joe had Phil’s Vox Organ?🤯🙌 That would truly be a SHREPIC MOMENT to capture! Also thanks for your support of the page! I appreciate your viewership🙏🎸
King's X fan here! I mean we were born to be loved, right? Great interview. Could listen to Phil all day. And as for Nuno's right hand.... Found my tribe. Subscribed!
@@MastersofShred Thank you so much. I have such fong memories seeing King's X at the Mayfield in Glasgow back in '91 on the Faith Hope Love tour. What a band.
Thank you Derek! You outdo yourself constantly with the great content... love your work! (And thank you for reposting/sharing one of my videos a year or so ago - the Van Halen 1 album live.. it was very humbling). all the best from Down Under sir 🤘
I didn't know he met Uli Roth! I remember watching Phil talk about him in a couple of FrettedAmericana videos back in the day! I'm so glad he got to meet him and be buddies with him.
