Yes, this is true. Also, go to the last island you can unlock. You can get valuable fishes (and levels, too) New Players \/ Focus on your tutorial, it helps you. To get a more good rod, go to the wood chest to get your new rod! Or just focus on a new backpack and boat. Mid game \/ Focus on your money for 5k, this is the part where you gamble. Pick the stone chest, pray for a good rod and nothing good. Or just like i said, buy a new backpack to keep more fishes. Getting a new boat does not worth it. (Or buy one to escape sea creatures easily.) Also, focus on getting 10k. Of that 10k, dont buy a new backpack and boat. Upgrade your rod for 5k, pray for a good rod on the other half. End game\/ Pretty much you can do anything, but a boat is now worth it. Even rods, they also give you boosts. And backpacks, too!
