That is called inflation (for which the original definition is increase in money supply). You have FIAT monetary system backed by NOTHING in which money is created OUT OF THIN AIR. You have fractional reserve banking which allows to multiply already FIAT money into more FIAT money. You pay the inflation tax which is the worst and most devil of all.

I remember when it cost $1.70. Visibility must have been at least 25 miles that day. I went up there on April 8, 1978 and the visibility that day was unlimited.

Ive been there in 2015 before the Renovation and it was great. And again in 2020 after it. They reached a whole new level with the museum and these 8 feet high windows on the 102.

I have to hit up there again. I haven't seen the new 102nd floor yet. I went last year, but the 102nd floor was still remodeling. I think the tickets are cheaper on their website. Also, don't listen to people when they say it's always crowded. I have been there several times and it wasn't each time I went. This video also proves it. Great video!! 🙂

I remember when I went to New York for my 14th birthday! The guy in the elevator took me and my friend and her mum/mom up to this floor for no extra charge as it was my birthday. I will always remember that, it was such an awesome day!

Wow!! $78.00 to do both observation decks? Glad when I went it was free. It was back in the 80s and I was a kid. I remember we were able to see the 86th observation deck from there and the people looked like little ants....lmao!! I had gone back in 2017 with someone who never has been to the ESB, but I have not been to the 102nd floor since then. Not sure I would spend $78.00 just to be able to go up an extra 16 floors. I went there last year and only did the 86th floor. The only good thing is you don't have those bars in front of you. Another fabulous video. ☺

00:43 - Black mirrored looking building is 277 5th Avenue. The two under construction to the right are the Ritz Carlton Nomad (further and shorter) and the Virgin Hotel (closer and taller). The square building, top right corner, with the lime green top is the Marriott Renaissance Chelsea. I was waiting for this video 20 years ago. I went online in 1998 to learn more about Manhattan skyscrapers. Of course, I already know about every fact about which the author of the video speaks. It’s a pity he didn’t tell about old skyscrapers like the Hyatt hotel near the UN building, the Broken Street Broadway and Bpwery Street and the building with 4 domes and the Sony building (with a round hole) and the IBM near the central park. As well as the funniest bank with a sloping roof City Bank.

2003: I remember a chain link fence with barbed- wire at the top...maybe some thick plexiglass. I took some photos with a 35mm but the aperture was off. Incredible memory. Tallest building in NY at the time

WOW!! what a great job they did on the 102nd level. Its been around for years, but the old 102 level had very restrictive views, it really wasn't worth it just to say you got to the 102 level. A problem is the price. If you go up there with a family with two children, its probable close to $200. (My opinion, the view is excellent, but could discourage visitors on a tight vacation budget).

Mello out some of you. The price for the main observation deck on 86th floor is much less than this 'premium' observation deck. The Sears/Willis Tower in Chicago, and the new Central Park Tower are both taller than the new World Trade Center/Freedom Tower by roof height.

Took my family up to 102 in 1984...It is vastly better now than then, but horribly expensive. Then there is 103 (stair ladder in central cage going to it) which has no windows but lots of machinery.

Last time I was up there it cost me nothing as I simply walked into the lobby of the building and into one of the stairwells and walked up. That was back in 1977. Not sure how if that can be done anymore!

technically the CN Tower in Toronto is taller than One World Trade Center, though it is arguable because it is a freestanding structure while One World Trade is not.

Фантастическая панорама. Безусловно, Нью Йорк - величайший город. Но насколько удобно здесь жить при такой плотной застройке? Я бы не смог привыкнуть к такой тесноте улиц и домов. Восхищаюсь американскими инженерами и строителями, которые все это построили. Но современные города все же должны быть соразмерными и дружелюбными человеку. В Европе не принято строить небоскребы для проживания. У нас в Украине, к сожалению, сейчас слишком увлеклись высотным строительством жилых домов. Для человека неестественно жить слишком высоко от земли. Но панорама Нью Йорка прекрасна.

Just a slight correction. From ground level to the ROOF One WTC is NOT the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, or even Manhattan. Those honors go to Central Park Tower, which stands 1,550 feet tall from ground to ROOF. The world’s skinniest skyscraper ( Steinway tower) and 432 Park Avenue are also taller than One WTC to the ROOF. One WTC becomes the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere only if you include it’s antenna, which also doubles as a spire. In addition to all this, Central Park Tower is on higher ground than One WTC which makes it seem even taller. By ROOF height, Central Park Tower stands almost 200 feet taller than One WTC, their respective roof heights being 1,550 and 1,368 feet tall.

Brilliant view and tour. I shall book mark this, I went to the top of one of the twin towers in 1977, so next time I'm in New York will do the freedom tower and Empire State. Two things, you zoomed in on the UN building but didn't mention it and what a shame the beautiful Chrysler Building is getting more and more obscured. The same thing has happened in London to the "Gherkin" which is becoming surrounded by taller and taller buildings as London is building a large number of High Rises and Skyscrapers. Are you a native New Yorker or did you spend some time in London, or are the accents merging? It wouldn't surprise me if they were.

By ROOF height, One World Trade Center is NOT the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere or the United States. In fact, it is not even the tallest building in Manhattan! At least three new towers are taller by ROOF height. 432 Park Avenue, 111 West 57th (aka the Steinway Tower, the world’s skinniest skyscraper) and Central Park Tower (aka the Nordstrom Tower) are all taller. Central Park Tower, at 1,550 ft to the roof, is almost 200 feet taller than One WTC’s roof. Central Park Tower dethroned Chicago’s iconic Sears Tower (aka the Willis Tower) as the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. To it’s roof, the Sears Tower stands at 110 floors and 1,450 feet tall. In order for One WTC to be considered taller than these buildings you have to include it’s antenna which also is supposed to double as a spire. When the building was being completed they tried to hide the fact that it was an antenna by encasing it in something but that didn’t work so they left it open. To say that One WTC is taller than the Central Park Tower is like having a five foot tall man place a yardstick on his head and then proclaiming him to be taller than the six ft tall man standing next to him.
