What makes me laugh the route plate signs weren't shown. 😅 Even though it was the 3 Train. At first i thought it read 3 (red) 4 (green)... but i spotted 2 & 5 route strip map lighted signs. 😅🤣 Great video! 🎥
The R262/as is coming real soon . We have to wait and see who is gonna build the R262/as and what factory is gonna build the brand new R262/as. We don't know for sure if the R142s is gonna be on the 1 3 6 lines as of yet. When the brand new R262/as comes for CBTCS on the 1 3 6 S lines then the MTA will decide where they gonna put the rest of the R142/as. For now we have to deal with the R62as i On the 1 3 6 S lines for now.
@@star80doessdastuff it's probably gonna be Nabrasa just like the R211as and the M8s came from somewhere in Nabrasa Kawasaki. Not Yonkers. What I had found out that the M9AS for metro North is coming out in Yonkers Kawasaki. I have a real spriital feeling that they are gonna definitely build the brand new R262/as from Kawasaki Nabrasa I'm telling you. Just like the R211as/T/S I'm telling you.
the R142s are nice and all but i prefer the current 3 trains for one reason. when you look out the front in the current 3 trains (unsure if the model) you can clearly see out of the window (not blurred like the R142s) AND you can see the speedometer. things like this matter for us railfans 😄
Some people prefer a R142as on the Pelham 6 line and the. R142s on the 1 3 lines. Most people prefer the R62AS on the 1 3 lines . The Flushing 7 line had the R62AS and now they have the R188s R142as because of CBTCS on the Flushing line. That's the reason why the R62AS is back on the Pelham 6 line for the very last time until the Brand New R262/as comes to replace all the R62AS R62S on the 1 3 6 S lines for CBTCS in the future
The R142s is not really back on the 3 line. The R142s was filling in for the R62S and probably they were doing track maintenance on the 2/5 lines over the weekend. I have a spriital feeling that they might slip a R62a back on the 3 train. However there's gonna be a lots of movement s around I'm telling you. From what I understand that the 5 has CBTCS between East 180 Street and Eastchester Dyer Avenue. However the R62AS R62S can not run between East 180 street and Eastchester Dyer Avenue anymore because of CBTCS over there.
I pray 🙏 that it happens on the 1 and the Pelham 6 line aswell teaming up with the R62as. We don't have no Redbirds anymore. We now have the R62S R62AS on the 1 3 6 S lines left. They shouldn't never torn down the old 8 3rd Avenue Elevated line down because it would of definitely have the R62AS on the 8 lines if this 3rd Avenue Elevated line would of never been tairing down and the R62AS would of definitely replacing all the R12/14s.
These trains should definitely run on the 3 line when the R262’s come in. I expect the R262’s to run primarily on the 1, 2, 4, and 5, while the 3 and 6 run with R142’s, and the 6 runs with R142A’s.
Me: the 3 only used the R62/R62A for longer I’ve been alive. MTA: yeah, let’s just slap a 3 on the R142’s with the 2 and 5 maps with no testing before hand, sure will be fine
Just the weekends when the 2 5 trains run in two sections. The same exact thing goes for the 4/6 line s.when the 4 trains run in two sections the 4 borrows the R62AS from the Pelham 6 line and when the 6 trains run in two sections the Jerome Ave 4 lines borrows the R142/as to the 6 line. However it's not gonna be just the weekends it probably gonna be on some weekdays aswell sometimes.
@@GTrainRailfanner You are welcome. The only thing that is missing now is the old 8 3rd Avenue Elevated line that used to run under neath the 2 5 lines at Gun hill road white plains road between Gun hill road and Clearmount Avenue Webster Ave Bronx 149 street connecting with the 2 5 trains 🚃 . They are definitely gonna tair down the old houses on the Clearmount Avenue Webster Ave Bronx and rebuilding new houses. Something is coming back. And God has vision and some one else has the vision. The mayor Eric Adams said that the south Bronx definitely needs there Transportation back. That's where they torn down the 8 3rd Avenue Elevated line down on purpose. If you don't know about the old 8 3rd Avenue Elevated line down back in 1973 1974 I'm telling you this right now emeeticley now. Another thing to the R142/as may pop up back on the Pelham 6 line on some weekdays in passenger service. Just because they have all the R62AS back on the Pelham 6 line it's doesn't mean nothing the R142as could still run on the Pelham 6 line and the R62AS could run on any lines except for the 7 Flushing and the and the 5 line s . Because the 5 line has CBTCS between East 180 street and Eastchester Dyer Avenue Bronx. Not the 2 4 6 S 3 1 lines. More changes are definitely coming I could tell you that now.
@@GTrainRailfanner yes the 7th Avenue 9 trains to Redhook Brooklyn and the 1 trains could definitely continue to south Ferry ⛴️ Manhattan station. Right now there is a talk on building a subway going to Redhook Brooklyn and the Q T trains across west side 125 street to connect to the Broadway 1 line. They will definitely find another way to bring the 9 th Ave Elevated line around the new Yankee stadium 🏟️. However south Bronx is definitely suffering without the 8 3rd Avenue Elevated line really really badly. Nothing cannot replace or take over the 8 3rd Avenue Elevated line anymore. I don't care how much buses they run over there.
The R142s fits on the 1 3 trains 🚃 . I pray 🙏 that the R142 could definitely be in passenger service on the Broadway 1 line Again like they did in 2018.
