@John Wick Include the USA too. It is full of gun violence and random shooters. In Latin America the violence is more drug related, if you don't mess with them,in general you won't have trouble. In the Middle East the violence is much more deeper. It is war, war about religion and politics, something much more complex than Latin America. Latin America is amazing, Argentina Chile and Uruguay for example have a higher life quality than many european countries. It is better, it is a fact!

Shanghai is a beautifully constructed and very well maintained city, nothing less expected from our neighbour China. It's gorgeous in many ways. As a Pakistani, unfortunately we can only dream of builting a city any close to this for the next 50-100 years. A Job very well done China. 👍

Jealous of what? I respect China and what is has achieved in the past couple decades. Without a doubt Shanghai is a grand majestic city with its intimidating size and modern infrastructure. But there isn't anything new here. The city of Shanghai follows a pretty Western standard of infrastructure. Skyscrapers, steel bridges, tunnels, highways, asphalt pavements, cars, street lights, all that is considered part of modern infrastructure has been invented by Western society. Even the internet and RU-vid, which you are using right now has all been invented by Western society. Until China actually starts innovating something original that everyone will want to adopt on a global scale, then I don't see much reason to be jealous of China. Western society has influenced humanity on a global scale that China hasn't been able to. All the concepts of physics and calculus that civil engineers learn to design these type of cities are built on upon Western education. So I don't see what there is to be jealous of? And this is coming from an Asian person.

Looks nice. Seems like Shanghai might be the only can't-miss destination in China. I still regret that I haven't been there, despite literally reading about it for decades now. At least I know some Mandarin in case I do ever go, and I know enough about history/art to appreciate the Shanghai Museum.

Chinese cities such as 上海, 深圳, or 長慶 look much moderner than the other so-called "modern cities" to me in that their whole areas are filled with hyper-modern skyscrapers with brilliant illuminations In addition, you can find many equipments with heavily advanced technologies there, which most of people from developed countries cannot experience in their hometowns(e.g. face authentication payment system) I'm sure these amazing cities make visitors feel like they are in 2050 future
