Was sitting here thinking about how I used to see the Port Jervis trains run express through the town I grew up in and then at 6:50 , POOF! The town I grew up in.
Thank you for watching Gary greetings from along the Port Jervis Line... As for Plauderville station in Garfield please check out many many other videos in my channel as I go to the Plauderville station every so often as it is somewhat close to me.. It's a good place to see the Transit action but also to see the handful of freight that still uses the line such as NS H70 or H56 sometimes. Here is my most recent visit to the station: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7zYcBc6lwn4.html
Stunning shot of the train on the Moodna, towards Salisbury Mills-Cornwall. Commuted on this run daily, from Port Jervis to Hoboken. I believe it's one of the two longest commuter runs east of the Mississippi.
Thank you for watching and your kind comment SkaterForLife Gordon. Yes, I do believe so at 95 miles from Hoboken to PJ it is a long haul for an everyday commute passenger train. Lots of exciting scenery too along the route but to daily commuters I guess it gets old after a while though.
Liberty - you're welcome; it's a pleasure. Keep up the good video work. Never got tired of the route; to me it was actually relaxing after a long day in Manhattan to see trees instead of buildings, lol. Will change the conversation a little-we took Amtrak cross-country (California Zephyr) from Chicago-Emeryville. If you ever get the chance, do it-worth it, although sometimes there are delays as freighters have the right of way. Scenery after Colorado is absolutely awesome, especially running through some 30(?) tunnels. Good thing cameras are digital, otherwise I'd run out of film, lol. Good talking to ya!
Thank you for watching Mickey Man, I agree it was nice seeing a regular Flag UP unit leading. Honestly how nice 1943 is and it is, I would say 1943 is a bit over-rated / over foamed. If the UP OCS came back to New York this second time around with different power, I would have gone up to see it on CSX when it went to Railex in Rotterdam.
@@mickeyman2767 yeah that would have a slight difference enough for me I would have most likely gone if I knew something was different. Instead, I saw the Reading & Northern 425 that day leave from Mountain Top, PA ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AzQ7AbG8XD8.html
Thank you for watching The Royal Scott, it was for an event at West Point Military Academy, also to commemorate Union Pacific's history 150th Anniversary one of the founding fathers of UP was from New York his name Harriman.. One of the cars in the consist is named Harriman so they did a whole PR photo stunt at the Harriman station. It's mostly likely back in Chicago right now, then off Council Bluffs Iowa, back in UP's own territory. I did hear rumors some sort of UP OCS train will be out here later this year but going to Albany, NY for a UP investor's event, because the port of Albany, NY is pretty important to UP business.
Thank you for watching HZCAR-Croatia/trains greetings trackside from along the Port Jervis Line in NY & NJ.. That Union Pacific train was something special as that railroad is a western railroad company not eastern united states. Came out for a very special ceremony..
That was the best I could come up with last night just before hitting the hay... I know you can see my intro in this video at 1:38 it passes Tuxedo station, at 2:28 passes the Central Valley Freight House, and at 7:54 Plauderville.. If you like to see just the chase itself check this video out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oTlddYj3pqY.html
Thank you for watching Kevin's Trains greetings trackside along the Port Jervis Line.. As for asking about what gear I am using please checkout my about page: ru-vid.comabout
I was able to get the new camera during a sale too, which saved $$.. Just note if you are planning on using 4K cameras be sure your editing software and computer are also 4k capable.
100% yes totally agreed, I know over the few days it was here "in PA, NJ, & NY" it had to bring out well over 500 railfans and non railfans alike "people in general", trackside just to see it. I know at the Harriman station upon its arrival there were over 200 railfans alone at the station. Thank you for the comment on the video..
