I spent a night there in 1973, before there was a raised walkway. When the tide came rushing in at sundown, an awe-inspiring sight, we were surrounded by the ocean until the tide turned the next morning. A beautiful memory of Europe and the great culture of the Middle Ages.

Great comprehensive video. The wide angle lens and the gimbal make all the difference in the world. I also liked that you had almost one continuous scene which gave me a much better feel for the place than a bunch of chopped up clips. And you tend to look into every nook and cranny just like I would. I most enjoyed those places where you leaned over the wall and shot down into those tiny courtyards. Fantastic. Thank you very much for sharing.

Thank you for this wonderful tour. You did an excellent job. I too am disabled would have never been able to hand those stairs, sooooo many stairs. It looks much like how I imagined, especially all the restaurants and tourists. My favorite thing about Mont St Michel are the flying buttresses. The abbey isn't too shabby either.

Thank you to make and post this video. For many decades I dreamed to visit the beautiful St Michael but your video satisfied me and saved me a trip as I have no interest to go to a so cloudy place. Too many tourists, perhaps a few less after quarantine... who knows?

On occasion I will visit this magnificent place. Did you realize that it is a labyrinth?

I went there with my parents in 1988. Didn't know what it was. Nobody told me where we were going. The thing just popped up out of nowhere as we were driving down the coast and I asked what the hell the small dot on the horizon was? I'm not sure if they'd planned for us to go there, but I said "Let's go there" and so we did. It was only after we got there that my parents revealed that they knew of the place. So we went inside. Had a look around. Wrestled with tourists as we climbed to the top. Walked down again. Left. And that was it. Yeah...

I have two places I would like to see videos about and those are the Chartres Cathedral and the Chateau de Fontainebleau. There is a monastic organization that would also be wonderful to see on video and that is the monastic order of monks and nuns, Les Fraternitès de Jerusalem.

Have you tried their omelette soufflee 🍳? ,which is made on a real fire (on gigantic branches of wood) The chef' in a gigantic white hat makes mysteriously enormous omellette in enormously gigantic pot from 35 gigantic eggs 🐛And every few minutes he pours 3 gigantic eggs into a skillet with a gigantic piece of butter. 🍾🍳 .Chef told me ,that....." the omelette fires up magical powers in those who have tried it...🐛😍.
