I believe that there are too many unnecessary design issues for the price, like the handle for the washing machine being on the wrong side, your hand getting stuck whenever you want to close a door, curtains that aren´t electric, that sort of stuff. The crew compartment also seems a bit small and rather intimate for more than one crewman, maybe a couple would work, but other than that it is a bit small. All the materials look nice and well put together tho.

I could pay cash for it but the maintenance would be a bitch over time. A lot of people forget about that,kinda like the lottery winner who spends a shit ton of money on a house forgetting it's going to cost 50k for a new roof and 35k to replace the A/C and heating units when they die.

I've been giving service to motor yachts for about 20 years and I've seen some crazy shit over the years. Very very big ones , crazy luxury, ı've seen yachts that have tenders on them bigger than this one so I know a few things about yachts. This one is one of the best if not the best one I've seen in terms of user friendlyness, design, built quality, multi purpose usability and relatively affordable price comparing with the other crazy stuff. Morning Nick! Do you think Princess will also come along on the Trawler-style boats? Seems to me that Navetta, Sirena and to some extent Cranchi are really going for this type of boat, and they seem to me to provide more space for the money. So far, the only boat that have adopted the trawler-style space management from Princess is the X95. Think there will be an X78, X65 or boats like that from Princess? BTW - I really LOVE your videos, although my current boat is a 24-footer from 1974, although a relatively rare one :D
@AQUAHOLIC
@AQUAHOLIC 4 года назад
Nothing wrong with running a classic! Princess is getting quite adventurous with boats like the R35 and X95 moving away from its core product lines (which continue of course) so whilst I'm unaware of any plans, I wouldn't bet against it at some stage.

This has now become the one that I would put to the top of my list (when I win the lottery), as it looks the perfect boat for me and mine. The price seems very, very reasonable (not that I know a lot about boats, all I know has come from watching this channel) for what it is. I noticed that there were no TV's in any of the cabins, is this a personal preference, or is there just not enough wall space to put a decent size TV? Another great video Nick, thank you. P.S. Once I have won the lottery, do I need some type of licence to drive one of these?

Excuse me for saying and normally this kind of boat incites me to find huge shortcomings and nitpick, I don't know why, I just see tons of unseaworthy concepts and executions however, aware that none of this is interesting to anyone but myself, and I bore myself half to death too, I just want to have it out there, as a previous life boat builder myself , how the fricking hell do they do all that , and make any worthwhile profit at all, for £900k. I just can't see how or why anyone would go into this industry nowadays! How the fricking hell do they do it, is it made in Lithuania or somewhere? I find it absolutely mind blowing that someone's bothered to do this, the industry must have moved on so much in the last 20 years since I was in it! Having said that, there's loads of REALLY impractical things about this boat even in this walkaround, but they're all dwarfed in my mind by being just absolutely staggered at the ingeniousness and finishes they have seemingly produced, the work involved is staggering to do something like this, the organisation and management you need to pull it off daunting. I don't normally look at these kind of channels it s the first boat channel I've looked at, so maybe I'm just naiive as to what's available these days.

The finishing is out of this world. I use to work on motor yachts. Lots of varnishing work, and maintenance etc. A few man years went into her that is for sure. Crew 3 or 4? Where are they going to sleep? Lots of beautiful zero defect shiny things to be kept clean and polished! Nice galley, except the first choppy sea is going to have that kettle on the floor. How do you cook? No fiddles, not practical. And they have that giro stabiliser, I wonder why?

This is the "dog's bollocks" of tiny "little ships" I have to say, "cracking", "top hole" and for your American viewers "wonderful". I always look forward to your videos, the presentation is unique and its the casual nature of wandering around and relaxed and seemingly unscripted commentary really make me the viewer feel as if I'm the one poking around. The thing I really like is that you like me are a nosy bar-steward and have to stick said proboscis into everything and if I'm the John (they must be many) that was mentioned as I have asked for a little more detail at times then that really made my day. I have mentioned I used to get on to the Sunseeker, Princess and other stands at Earl's Court when that was the London boat show and you are recreating those lovely moments of fantasy superbly. There are other tours of motor yachts available on youtube but all inferior, a couple channels requiring the liberal use of anti-emetics (although I am never seas sick) just to watch them - an overabundance of adjectives, nay, nay thrice nay too many superlatives. As we are (the royal we, I've got an official letter stating I'm at extreme risk - it could have been I am an extreme risk [during COVID-19] to have to remain indoors so any compilation videos you can throw our way will be eagerly and hungrily consumed. The nay, nay thing reminded me of when my late had a coronary angiogram at the Harley St clinic. In recovery was a certain Francis Howard, in those days they did the procedure through the femoral artery and it required a nurse to press little buggery for at least 20 minutes once the catheter/cannula had been removed. I arrived to find Francis playing the crowd, he and mother nearly bled out because the nurses and mother were in hysterics, I was in a foul mood as I'd had frankly a shit day at work in NHS for the consultant who had done the procedure but I was begging of comic relief within five minutes. If you have nothing else to watch there are plenty of Frankie Howard videos on youtube, imagine all the punchlines condensed and then condensed some more and being force-fed them. He was an extremely nice, affable, lovely and funny man.

Due to the fact that I am completely and utterly delusional I will claim that I am the John Mr. Burnham is referring to! Thus the only sensible thing to do is to challenge you to a dual at fifty paces! Since I am on the continent of North America and you are not we will have to make those fifty rather large paces or you will have to arrange transportation for me at your expense. These being the only two sensible options! Having dispensed with the formalities I should mention that I once knew of a John Morgan and thoroughly approve of your name as he was a rather decent chap.

@@jhh631 Depreciation is only something you care about with regards to resell value, and if I'm using it for my personal residence that's hardly a concern. Harder question is how to go about structuring the charter services that help offset maintenance costs, while also using the yacht for a permanent residence. I don't know much about how charters are normally conducted, only that most boat owners sign up to charter fleets that handle it for them, which does not seem to be a viable option to anyone using the boat to live in. I would probably offer the boat with me captaining it, treat it somewhat like a side business.

As well as, perhaps, but not instead of, I once lived in a basement flat which flooded, that was bad enough, but the thought of my home sinking to the bottom of the sea is a little off-putting, no point raising the sockets really... 🤪

With all the views and subscribers you now have I wonder if you've been directly responsible for someone buying a boat you've reviewed yet! Time to start talking commission!

I'm aware of a couple of sales in which my videos have helped, and one small boat bought over the phone purely after watching an AQUAHOLIC tour! :)

Hard to sell here in Finland, as "navetta" is where cows are kept when they are not outdoors... Navetta is for cows, and sikala is for pigs in Finnish. Do they also have Absolute Sikala...?

Funnily enough, "Navetta" means a cowshed in Finnish. The absolute cowshed.

I have to say that this is my Absolute favourite sub-60 boat that you've shown. Love the off-set VIP cabin, love the screen at the rear cockpit and love the roomy galley area. The fly-bridge is surprisingly large as well. Excellent tour!!

Galeon 640 with extended fly bridge is the best one ever!! (but costs 1.8 mil)

I wasn’t a fan of that kind of boat, but after i saw this “ small yacht” i realise that’s a lot of a boat for this size and for the money. Thank you Nick 👍

I could consider this for my pension or maybe 5 years before. I wonder what running cost would be if you did 250 nm / per month? Ownership added +insurance. Buy 2nd hand at around 700k Euro. Any idea?

The big question though, 52ft Navetta or 52ft fly, you do get a sofa in the master with the fly.

Lovely boat. Question - how do they get the big boats to the shows - or are the exhibitions right by the water and do they then have water access?

I just checked the absolute website, fuel tank is 600l, cruising speed 14 knots, fuel consumption 93l/h. That's a range of 84 miles, you couldn't afford to anchor in a bay and put the a/c on, you would run out of fuel!

This is me and my wife's dream boat! We have our eyes on this boat when we can retire to cruise the east coast of the US and the Bahamas. The 900,000 euro tag is misleading. The price tag on the boat as it's shown here is probably closer to 1.5 mil euros than it is 900,000.
@AQUAHOLIC
@AQUAHOLIC 4 года назад
Price is base price ex VAT (because AQUAHOLIC is global and tax rates vary, as do people's specification wishes) so yes, add your extras, pay for delivery and and then pay your country's tax and it will always cost more.

Thanks for the clarification and using misleading was probably the wrong word to use, because I know you aren't trying to mislead people. Thanks for all of your videos they are the best!

@@robertfad1611 No problem. From my perspective, the higher the price the better (higher prices attract more viewers) but that seems to be the fairest way to compare them all.

Is there storage in the flybridge stairs? I imagine there is- or there is an empty space there. Can you show us sometime?

Almost certainly. There are never any empty voids if they can be used.

If you are berth limited to around 52 feet this has to be the best use of space that I've seen. That Fly bridge looks like it belongs on a 70 footer, and I love the space the faux-trawler style cabin gives the fore deck. That walk-though sort of Portuguese bridge arrangement with the sofa and table, for a boat of this size... amazing! You certainly must have been busy at that show, thanks for the tour!

Seems a lot of smaller Marinas are 'up to 15m' so that would make this just a touch long. I guess it would depend but it might be close enough that they can accommodate you. Be interesting to see a breakdown by length and beam the percentage of Marinas you are restricted to. Everyone seems to always buy the biggest boat they can, but if you are interested in cruising and stopping off here and there at a whim for a week to explore, a smaller boat might give you more options at more locations? Love this boat, it seems a really good balance of practical and pretty.

This has everything! Full size fridge, top deck with bbq, 3cabin2bath+crew cabin. Probably can tow a jetski too! Max space utilising design! Love this. If i win the 9mil snowball or 12mil special draw I'll invest in one, and make yatch chartering my part time job. (perfect if you can fix solar panels to it and have water desalination device)
