I know many great performances of this piece from different artists, but for the part from 4:06 to 4:59, this performance has no comparison! That must have felt otherworldly for Valeriy when he played that part!
Я восхищаюсь Валерием и его родителями - сколько часов, дней, лет ежедневных занятий отдано этому делу. Не музыкантам не понять каких это трудов стоит такое виртуозное исполнение. Я немного отошёл от музыки, но Валерия слушаю с огромным удовольствием. Столько сил, трудов, времени, здоровья, жизни положено для того, чтобы кроме эмоциональной отдачи самого Валерия мы, слушатели, могли наслаждаться. Это просто уму не постижимо. Superb, excellent performance. I listened to the Skorik Spanish Dance first, which I liked and then the Saint Saens popped up, so I listened to it. I like his style. There's something about the bowing and phrasing that provides a kind of slight syncopation. The down, down, down bows. I like it when folks phrase things and this was well done. I liked the bowing (though the left hand was perfect too), but the bowing was strong. There's a quality of sound created by the bowing and the fiddle that's more raw and genuine. The pianist was perfect and accompanied perfectly. I wished though perhaps they played this more like a duet, one off the other, a making of music together.
