⌚ Bulgari Watches 

Recently picked up the Octo Finissimo in titanium. It’s such a slim and light watch, almost unnoticeable on the wrist. Love the unique overall design

From what I can see Bulgari in recent years has made more horological innovations and push the boundaries further technically than the holy Trinity combined if they keep this up and can launch a new watch line in the next few years they’re going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Good one, John. But really should have got one of the ultra thin Finissimos to show what this is all about. The GMT chrono is especially stunning.

Just bought an Octo Finissimo S in a gorgeous all-silver dial, with the BVL138 Finissimo caliber (2.23 mm thick) adorned with Côtes de Genève stripes. This watch in stainless picks up every reflective light that touches the steel facets. It is so thin and lightweight on the wrist. With a thickness of 6.4mm, somehow they get 100 m water resistance using a screw-down crown. I haven't tested it but they claim a 60-hour power reserve. This watch is so unique and elegant that my Rolex is staying in my watch winder for long periods of time. It comes with a 3-year warranty and you get a 2 yr extension equaling 5 years when you register it online. I have a slightly under 7-inch wrist and it fits perfectly. Lug to lug is about 47mm and the watch measures 40mm in diameter but does look larger because of the squarish shape of the case. Because of the short lug-to-lug size, the drape is perfect. I can't recommend this watch more highly for anyone who wants uniqueness and elegance in a watch not seen every day by other men in public.

I have a octo finissimo openworked and it always attract more people than a regular Rolex. I love the watch and always believes it is way underrated. I am also considering buying a green dial Octo Roma

I think it's worth mentioning that Genta designed the Bvlgari Bvlgari, since that's what a lot of people care about these days lol.

I love the Octo Roma. I went to the 5th Avenue store to try it on. Beautiful watch and I would consider it Pre-owned.

Octo F is a Truly amazing piece, i don’t think it’s for everyone but those it attracts will love it ... mine is titanium with bracelet which I think is the smartest look.

Lusting over many Bvlgari watches just haven't actually decided which one to get. The octo is on top of my list but it's also the most expensive line of all their watches. I'm liking the ergon and assioma but prefer octo if budget permits.

While I kind of understand the allure of in-house movements, does it really matter that much? I mean, you can find an in-house movement in a cheap Orient or any Seiko or Citizen.

Late reply to several questions / comments: Genta designed the original 1977 Bulgari Bulgari model. No other models. Other Bulgari models have been ’influenced’ by Genta, not designed by him. Actually disturbing that this person does not even know that.

Only GG and DR watches from Bulgari are of decent quality. All the others are pretty much disaster. The latest Octo Finissimo Chronograph which Bulgari is so proud of is actually faulty. There has been an internal recall of this particular model. Considering this model is it's the new flagship and won big prizes last year, I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy the Octo line. In short, only buy GG or DR from Bulgari.

Like the designs, even owned one. But they have terrible resale. It was extremely hard to sell mine and even originally bought pre owned I had to accept a huge loss to move it. Nobody wants to buy them, even dealers refuse to place offers. I think that Bvlgari is best avoided.

VULGARI.

I love the modern industrial design and impressive technical specs of the Octo Finissimo line but they are too big for such a thin watch. The larger area over the short thickness creates a low coefficient of rigidity so I think it just feels too delicate in hand and on the wrist.
