daimler armoured car, it is the single best vehicle in the game, no hill cannot be climbed, no tank can hide, and there is no such thing as too little armour.

@@reedman0780 it has no armour so APHE gos strait through it without exploding, and the enemy needs a direct hit on a component to hull break you. i don't know howmany times my 88mm guns did nothing (but kill 1 crew member and make a component orange) alloing the M18 to kill me

That only happens if the Hellcat has to play scout... They are tank destroyers, they need scout tanks to perform their best.

@@dra6o0n That's actually just the opposite of TD doctrine for every military I know of. TD's are supposed to stay in ambush or rush to block enemy breakthroughs, not go on scouting missions. Scouting missions are what jeeps, Ferret's, M3's and M8's are for.

And Sherman’s are definitely not brawling tanks at that br everything can pen your armor with ease I take the m18 out early to either get to a good position early or cap a point

@@bp-hx9ts That's just not right at all. M18s can cap quickly but they can't defend the cap once they take it. Shermans are FANTASTIC brawlers. Some of the best in the game. Their armor isn't great, but it's alright. When properly angled around corners and things even really big guns have a problem penning you. And the crew is very spread out, ammo is in the bottom, and you have 5 crew. The thing is super survivable. But above all else that makes the Sherman a great brawler, is the gun. You one shot almost everything you hit, the reload for a weapon that devistating is really good, and of course the stabilizer means as long as you have half a brain cell, you ALWAYS get the first shot off. Being a good brawler doesn't mean being able to soak up the enemies first round, it means killing the enemy before they have a chance to get that round off.

T 34 85 (D5T) has more than 10sec of reload stock , it isn't as maneuverable , don't have the same acceleration and can't eat any shells , it's a Jack of all trades but not at the good br , the fact that it is not awful in all characteristics makes it worse than the m18 because no Armor is best Armor

Princess Applestrach no amor might best armor if you're in a long tank like the Flak 88 or BTR but for an M18 it is so easy to hit the engine or transmission you have atleast a 75% chance of striking it and if you hit it you have a 100% chance of killing it in that single shot eventhough the turret is fine, the crew is healthily over 2, and the ammo is still cold. But if you're driving an M18 and come head on with a T 34 85 like you usually do, the T 34 will usually come out on top because with the shitty 76.2mm cnn you could easily hit any part of his turret and the shell will enter the void (no matter how flat of an angle), or you can hit the driver's hatch (self explanatory), or the worst of all you get Gaijined and watch the shell bounce off his UFP eventhough he wasn't angling.

Princess Applestrach oh yeah and do you know how impossible it is to kill an Is-1 or Is-2 is from the rear? It is so much more possible to kill them from the front than from the back, I have had no instances where I've penetrated the back of the turret on them absolutely none.

And the 76mm doesn't suck sure it's vworse than the German 75 but it's still good non the less and if you can't pen the turret of the T34 85 or even the chassis you just suck at shooting

Too bad HEAT and HESH are hit-or miss and cant pass through walls or sometimes even side skirts or tracks

The super hellcat was never built. It never went past concept stage as it could not handel the recoil. All 2507 hellcats were 76mm.

I am new to WT and just unlocked the M18, yep pretty underwhelming, I have no doubt that in a really good player's hands it's great but facing off other Tanks in this BR it's hard work especially when I look at their stats and they have thousands of battles. Starting to get the feeling being new with how long the game has been out and constantly getting up tiered is gonna make playing a waste of time, shame as the game is great.

@Kyle Reese I starting playing as I wanted to pay cold war era tanks, but the grind even when paying for a prem acct is ludicrous, I know why it's like this of course but IMHO Gaijin are cutting their nose off to spite their face. The matchmaking is an utter mess and when you do unlock a tank you actually want to play you are face with the prospect in stock form its utter crap. It's hard to criticize a game that has been going for so long but as it stands it's pretty much impossible for new players to get into. It's no wonder the game is seeing little growth, I am guessing most new players in the last couple of years walk away very quickly.

Only russians have APHE/APHEBC (Armour Piercing High Explosive/Armour Piercing High Explosive Ballistic Cap) (maybe few other tanks but i don't think so), the Hellcat shoots APCBC (Armour Piercing Capped Balistic Cap) with explosive filler, since an APCBC can even be a solid shot (hence the british tanks), standard solid AP and APCR

@@aidandixon6028 it's not very efficient at flanking. Especially with so little reverse speed. Even Panthers could do a better job

@@destroyerarmor2846 Dude, reverse speed isn't necessary for flanking, maybe you have flanking routes that require 50km/h speed and anything slower is useless, but most of my flanking routes can be used consistently by anything that goes faster than 30km/h, hell I flank the enemy team with my is4m and t32e1, both heavy tanks, so that's just a difference in playstyle and map knowledge. Regardless, unlike the m18, the m36 is still useful later in the match, while the m18 will struggle with its mediocre gun and abysmal armor at 5.7 relying solely on speed Since it brings a significant amount of firepower you have much more flexibility, you don't even need to be directly beside or behind the enemy team in order to hurt them effectively, you simply need to make certain you're not spotted first. Twice the firepower, 40km/h instead of 50km/h.
