More games need to be considerate and include new concepts in the free updates like Frontier do, instead of locking it all behind a pay wall. Sure, keep the animals and the scenery behind the paywall, that makes sense, but I'm glad they brought things like educational talks into the free updates
I really hope Frontier consider adding some of the existing animals into the new large exhibit. Things liike green iguana shouldn't be in the small size anyway, and these look a lot like the walk through areas they're often in at zoos i've gone to. I also, personally, think they'd be great for small birds. Large birds like macaws or vultures etc. should definitely be full animals, but small song birds and such, that are often in aviaries like these would work.
I am so excited for the exhibit management update 😍😍 I've avoided exhibits for so long because I find them very annoying to keep up so this is perfect ❤️
really interesting that they included the walkthrough exhibit in the free update. it definitely makes it clear that more animals will use it in the near future
Love the free updates! And also this new DLC as well, i know it's a halloween oriented DLC but the first thing that came to my mind was making a nocturnal house for animals :)
I feel like many people ask for this so if they all ask it on the forums as well so devs can read it, I wouldnt be surprised if they add it soon, haha!
The stamp tool technically was already a ramp tool, this one is just set up right away as a ramp, but the other stamp tool could pretty much be used the same way with a few more clicks :)
Hi DeLadysigner, what do you do if you design an enclosure that you look back at later and think 'no I really don't like this?' do you delete it and start over? Or just live with it?
@@DeLadysigner I don't know what to do about my african penguin enclosure, i've made it way too deep so the guest area looks really off compared to the rest of my zoo. I'll have to work on it =) thank you.
Question: did Frontier give you and other planet zoo content creators the pack early? just wondering but anyways this looks sick and I cant wait to play it!
Some different versions of backdrops when loading a new map. Some are the same as the maps from career mode and some are new 😊 They also deleted a few older ones and for what ive heard they will add it back into the game again with the next update. We might then just get a dropdown or something so you can choose what map you want to build on depending what biome and region you choose 😊
Thank you for posting this video and all of your DLC overviews! I love the way you showcase the new content. Your videos always inspire me to play and think creatively when making my zoos. ❤
Can only speak for myself that I did not grow up with halloween (was not really a thing in the netherlands when I was born like it is in some countries) so I also dont have that much of a connection with it :) I dont mind it but its also not making me super excited about it or something :) So yeah, I can totally see where people come from if they just dont really like halloween :) that being said.. I think the pieces in this pack are great and many can be used for a lot of other things than perse for halloween zoos or halloween themed areas :)
Because it's for 2 weeks only, it's a holiday, in a free update with Halloween goodies between 2 packs would have been nice but not a whole pack, when Halloween is done and over (November 1st lol) not many players will keep these in their zoo except maybe for decoration around the bats exhibition.
Yes you can! The bats will only not be able to use it as they are in an animated standard loop 😊 but it could be fun to see that as a challenge and put all rocks and plants like so that it feels very realistic and they wont fly through them for example 😃
I forgot to record that :( but for what I've heard its only the skirts from the career maps, so nothing new? But dont pin me on this one as I have not gotten the time myself yet to check.. jikes haha!
@@DeLadysigner I should have clarified; small birds like finches, budgies, and maybe even hummingbirds. At a local zoo I love going to the aviary is open air but has small song bird species. The larger ones like toucans are in smaller habitat set ups.
@@nerlana1281 makes sense! But need to think about this if I like small birds being added like this 😅 lol Maybe if they would do a birds pack with bigger birds as real habitat animals and smaller birds in these type of exhibits at the same time I can maybe live with it 😅
The great: Exhibit management. No longer having to micro manage every exhibit makes using exhibits more enticing. The good: American redwood trees. Although they are so huge, like they are meant to be, i don't think i'll ever use them. The just okay: Exhibit animal handling. I like that it's in the game now, but it's so short that if you blink you'll miss it. The not so good: Walkthrough exhibit being added to the base game with no function. I know it can be used for implied habitats, but i just don't like the trend of adding DLC items to base game without a function.
YES for the exhibit management for sure!! AGREED on the way too big trees that I will never use either, LOL! AGREED on the exhibit handling, it was indeed very very short! But nice fun feature they are adding for free I guess :) I am also not really sure why they are added in the free update.. Really hope it will make more sense when Frontier maybe will give a free animal with the anniversary update that can use it or so.. because else it really doesnt make much sense to me either!
@@DeLadysigner I'm still waiting for them to add a base game animal to the underwater herbivore feeder, so i'm not going to hold my breath waiting for a free animal to be added to the walkthrough exhibit. 😅
