I like how on the C96 Trench you keep your thumb on the right-hand side out of the way, because in real life your thumb would get pinched by the hammer when it re-chambers. It's little details like that that make the game eye-candy for me.
The grappling hook could also be used as an aerial weapon too. It’s on the unusual aerial weapons used in ww1. Its deployed on the underside of the plane and catch’s the wings of pursuers throwing them off
JerseyLegened He bitched about the recent service assignments and said it's too hard, he is being a lazy ass when he has the luxury to get promotional bonuses in game like battlepacks for being a mouthpiece for Dice and EA. Something most of the community wishes they had to brag about.
The reason the dlc is spread over to January is not because dice want to spread content it's because the dlc isn't ready yet. Look at the 2 new maps in the CTE there not even done yet... Russian dlc was polished months in advanced for us to test, this dlc it looks like they just started... Star Wars is their priority now not BF1
This gameplay was captured last week. Not the day b4 yesterday, dice has had some time to update it/work on it. Besides we're still in october, got all november & december dependin on when the release date is exactly for december.
DICE battlefront team is not the same as Battlefield. Went to their office here in Sweden last year and there is a somewhat separation from each other. Battlefield team is for sure the biggest one though.
I figured the grappling hook would be a melee weapon. I hoped it would be a gadget but I could see how that would be kinda game breaking on certain maps like Amiens
I just am speaking from personal experience. When people get on top of the buildings in ballroom blitz it ruins the ballroom flag and is a pain in the ass. Maybe it wouldn’t break the game so to speak but it would give those of us who have the dlcs an advantage over base game players.
Grappling hook sounds good but in theory wouldn't be very useful because you wouldn't need it in most situations. Even worse, if it worked like hardline, you could see people use it just to get on top of stupid places like houses so that they can seat their and be useless. I think it can be useful at somethings, like the last sector on Operations for Fao Fortress, trying to get onto the fortress or being able to have the ability to get onto a buildings roof that had enemies and going a different route then the ladder which can be predictable.
In BF2 you had the grappling hook too, but locked for some maps. It would be the same, i think, that you are only have access to the "secondary mode" of this melee weapon on special maps like Heligoland
i literally go +40-0 every game when I'm a tanker lol, its waaaaay to easy to use vehicles... kids on xbox don't even try to destroy you xD they are so bad, mostly cause they are all little kids who shouldn't even be playing bf xD you just must be bad dude, sorry
talen dumas Really has nothing to do with them being bad, it's the fact that taking tanks down requires coordination unlike old BF games, which sounds like a good thing but it makes a single person who should have the advantage no longer have an advantage. Tanks in BF4 were much better balanced.
P17 better since it was the most used by the US. If im not mistaken 75% of American troops had the enfield 1917 in their hands not the 1903 springfield.
Even in this dlc idk why they added the carcano?? A p14 (enfield 1914) wldve made more sense since we are getting the british marines as a new faction in this dlc.
They need to add in a air battle game mode or something like they have in battlefront, because the plane gameplay is fun but there's not really a lot to do with it
But, despite me also wanting the ANZACs as a complete separate faction, at least we get to see the Medic Class represented by an ANZAC. Also, there were in fact a lot more British soldiers fighting in Gallipolli so maybe that's why DICE decided to go with this route.
I understand that and it's completely true but that does not mean DICE can skim on content and be lazy with ideas and implementation. How about just having the tanker/pilot weapons for all kit weapons or how about adding in more carbine bolt action rifles that are more aggressive at close/medium range for assault/medic use. I just don't understand why everyone is okay with DICE cutting content and everyone is still contempt because "ww1 didn't have that many weapons" argument.
they should maybe consider adding more weapons than the 6, they should also add the webly 1913 semiauto pistol which was used by the british navy during the war and the ross mk3 rifle because it would offer something different to use because of its strait pull bolt and amazing accuracy
Hear them whisper, Voices from the other side Hear them calling Former foes now friends are resting side by side They will never leave our hearts or fade away Live forever They were far to you to die in such a way how many wasted lives How many dreams did fade away Broken promises They won't be coming home Oh mothers wipe your tears Your sons will rest a million years Found their peace at last As foe turned to friend And forgive And they knew they'd die Gallipoli Left their letters in the sand Such waste of life Gallipoli Dreams of freedom turned to dust Hell is waiting where the ocean meets the sand Cliffs of burden Where the soldiers rushed into a certain death At the shoreline Blood of heroes stains the land Light a candle One for each of them who fought and died in vain There is no enemy There is no victory Only boys who lost their lives in the sand Young men were sacrificed Their names are carved in stone and kept alive And forever we will honour the memory of them And they knew they would die Gallipoli Left their letters in the sand Such waste of life Gallipoli Dreams of freedom turned to dust how many wasted lives How many dreams did fade away Broken promises They won't be coming home Oh mothers wipe your tears Your sons will rest a million years Found their peace at last As foe turned to friend And forgive And they knew they would die Gallipoli Left their letters in the sand Such waste of life Gallipoli Dreams of freedom turned to dust
Sorry for saying this on like all your tt dlc vids, but where is the Battle of Jutland?! But still if we don't get it then the content we've had a look at so far also looks great! And I like how they've implemented some of the runner campaign into this dlc (it would be stupid not to due to them both being at Golipoli!)
Puntoni yeah that's fair enough; also if this dlc is just focused on Golipoli and some ANZAC conflicts, it would make sense NOT having tboj included-since Jutland is quite a bit far away from Golipoli!😂
Peemuffin But then again, the dlc is focus on naval warfare.... It’s odd seeing a Naval WW1 DLC without Jutland. I mean it’s like a famous battle as Verdun, which was added in the French DLC. But then again, Tannenberg was also famous but was never added in the Russian DLC :/
Would anyone else like a free dlc map like the giants shadow. The map would be based on the 1916 Easter rising in Dublin,I think this would be really cool
Aside from the video, I feel that there shouldn't be a Telescopic variant of the M1917 MG but instead an "Offensive" variant, essentially specializing in hip fire suppression with a storm grip and standard iron sights however it would contain less ammunition overall and would require for the player to be more up close and personal against adversaries
Players: we need more things to counter aircraft! Dice: ok snipers and machine guns do more damage to aircraft Players: I can’t use the hellrigel or model 10-a on those classes! We need more counters to aa! Dice: fine the rocket gun gets a proximity fuse and does the same amount of damage
I hope you see this, because if you don't know that concept art is depicting The Raid on Zeebrugge 23rd of April 1918, when the royal marines charged a battleship into a german port wall and stormed the area.
If you look closely at the concept image for Helgoland you can see a stone pillar. Its called "Lange Anna" in german which means Long/Tall Anna. Its somewhat the landmark of Helgoland.
I thought DICE said that this BF season we'll be getting 6 maps per upcoming DLC? So why did they publish 6 maps of Shall not Pass and Tsar but aren't on the upcoming one? Getting confuuuused over here!
After playing this game for awhile now I can honestly say that it doesn't feel like a dice game to me. Its like they gave both bf1 and Battlefront to some 3rd party Dev that doesn't have the resources to make anything substantial. Both spin off franchises have been lacklustre with minimal content.
@Westie This is awesome and all, but why is noone talking about how the last update screwed up the transparency of icons? The enemy icon now is so dim now that I can't tell who is who... Am I missing something here? I have checked all my settings and nothing has changed.. All my opacity settings are 100%, yet that damned enemy icon is barely visible. Anyone know a fix for this?.. This is seriously changed the whole game for me and now isn't enjoyable. I keep shooting at my own teammates half the time.. It's like playing hardcore where you can't see the spotted icons.
Newmack My god they fucked it... I was thinking it was me but no, and yes i also checked my settings and nothing... Now i shot my team mates cause i cant see if they are an enemy. Lets hope they fix it
I play without ATH sometimes it's no problem for me but I understand. It's not a bug they only touch allies one because there was too much on the screen, ennemi one didn't change. So try to mark them, if it works = ennemi
+twin10broter they haven't given up but I haven't felt hyped playing a dlc since we got the French. Trust me, I love bf1 more than the next fella but it's just pretty stale - lacks replay value.
I think the reason for the Elite Class is to help attackers that have to storm the beaches get a better spawn point so that rather than have to face defender sniper and machine gun fire upon landing on the beach again after dying, they can just spawn on the new points set by the Infiltrator. Also the artillery fire called in can be used to distract or block defenders from firing on the beaches, allowing attackers to land and make their way to the objectives. So this class, in the hands of the attackers, can really help them avoid a spawntrap or struggle to land on the beaches of Helles 👌
The infiltrator Class is genius. Well done Dice. When you make an amazing flank but don’t have the weapons or team mates spawning on you to take the objective... this will help. Plus, while I understand the decision, we all miss the Radio Beacon lol. Bf3 it was everything. I would like to see a return to features in the first battlefield 1942 where giant sea ships were just regular vehicles in the game to operate rather than in some sort of behemoth dynamic.
People need to understand that dlc for bf1 takes a way longer time to make than dlc for bf4. I mean, new armies, new voice lines, new entering vehicles animations, new unique weapons, absolute beautiful maps
I have an idea for a new game mode. It'll be similar to back to basics but with a twist. Depending on your faction and class, you have a chance to spawn in with a different weapon. For example: The American Assault has a 25% chance to spawn with a M97 Trench gun or a Model 10a. The German Support has a 25% chance to spawn with either A Madsen, MG15 na or an MG14 parabellum.
Ascend Rayven it's not a disappointment. Russia didn't had any tank in ww1. Only that armored truck and bombers. The mark 4 that you saw in the dlc is coming from UK. They give the Tsar tanks to help them against the Soviet army. I wonder which location the dlc apocalypse is?
There aren't really any real tanks left to add. At least not a lot that actually made it past prototype stage. But we already have some prototype guns, so why no. After a bit of research the Italian Fiat 2000 or german Sturmpanzerwagen Oberschlesien could be added, but since these never saw combat they might be better in the apocalyps dlc.
it would be cool if the infiltrator *appeared* to be a friendly assault soldier to the enemy team so they could actually infiltrate behind the lines to place beacons and call artillery. maybe they would get revealed if they got damaged at all or got a non artillery kill
It sucks that they're separately making the DLC Release on December 2017 and January 2018 :/ But I'm still excited to make the Gallipoli Campaign video when it comes out on December!
Is anyone else having trouble accessing turning tides on Xbox one I have premium and a live Xbox 1 membership and it continues to say cannot connect to server?
I am so wanting that C96 Trench gun for the Assault class. I love the pistol for the Medic and the Carbine variant for the Tanker so I have wanted the full-auto capable variant as I have studied the heck out of the history for the weapon though I wish for the 40 rounds it was using a drum magazine attachment.
Hey Westie! love ur vids. I am a big battlefield player and I was wondering: Do you know if the coastal class airship and the destroyer are going be to be part of the pilot and a new boater class? Or are they going to be transport/scout/light vehicle type vehicles
Thought the infiltrator would be like a disguise to blend in with the enemy team and just stealthily kill people without them even noticing. Or would that be too op, would probably a ton of balancing factor like health values and minimal gadgets or crap weapons.
I registered for the CTE on PS4, downloaded it, then opened it but there was nothing on there. No servers and when i tried looking at specialisations it told me to go and buy the CTE. I am worried that when i get home tonight, there wont be anything i can do with the CTE at all.
I don't like the iron sights for the m1903 and mosin-nagant. I don't know but it's just weird when they put a different iron sight than the real life counterpart
You know...? I remember levelcap saying two months before the game was released that there would be an aerial warfare gamemode at launch. I wonder if he got mistaken or we just didn't get it.
Can we get a map or 2 that are mainly focused on air combat? all i see is infantry, tanks, and now sea with a little air combat sprinkled in here and there. There is a big community for air combat dominated maps
This is just an idea, but what do you guys think of a Mexican Revolution map(s) in Battlefield 1? It did take place during the early years of WW1. And DICE did add the Russian Revolution in the Tsar DLC. Maybe this could be in the Apocalypse DLC perhaps. Again what do you guys think about this? :)
I really hoped that there will be a new mode that focus on naval warfare sth. Like the carrier assault or you could do a u boot assault. But the maps especially zeebrugge are going to be really good
I feel like they're adding guns that'll make it feel more like a modern military based game. I wish it would maintain the more bolt action and semi auto combat.
