I feel like when he was dissing the Deb thing, he was more making a point that Belly was unique and special and all those other girls were the same/boring when compared to her.

yes!! people also forget that we only saw how he treated her THIS summer though. they forget that conrad wasn't always like this. they have a whole history together and we do see small bits of their relationship before he found out about his mom's cancer in the flashbacks. and from my point of view in seeing those, conrad treated her better than jeremiah. he paid attention to her and always tried to include her in stuff but jere never did. it seemed like he was always off with steven. it didn't really seem like jere paid much attention to her until this summer even though he said he's liked her this whole time. he never really showed interest in her until he knew she was interested in conrad.

@@Julia36229 I’m confused, because through the whole show she obviously never likes Jeremiah, and then when he says he likes her, she goes with it and says that she likes him and they kiss and start a relationship, but there was nothing there, and I think she only did it to get her mind off Conrad and convince herself that she no longer likes him, because she kisses him later and than she says “if I could have this” meaning, she never stopped wanting this, and I really hope they change season 2 and she doesn’t go and kiss Jeremiah again.

@@pumpkinbagelpatch yeah! you're right. i actually started reading books yesterday and it's different from the series. jeremiah was her first kiss and she is struggling to pick a brother through the first book, "i love conrad but jeremiah is also cute" hahah, and there's something going on between taylor and him and belly is so jealous, so yeah, can't wait for season 2

If you read the books and not simply go off of the show. Which I haven’t seen. It’s the opposite Belly had a fascination with Conrad growing up but he was always close to Steven. Jeremiah was her best friend. Always choose Belly over them. That’s why I don’t agree with the books. She tells Conrad ‘He doesn’t take it away whenever he feels like it.’ When it comes to Jeremiah and his love for her in We’ll Always Have Summer. Conrad in the book version can be a total narcissist when it comes to Belly, he takes her feelings for granted

That’s why I do not want to see the show. In the last book you have Conrad’s POV and you can say the same thing just because Belly was marrying Jeremiah he finally acted on his feelings. I feel like in the third book it was partially Belly’s fault that they broke up and Jeremiah was desperate to not lose her. She went to the beach house and spent time with Conrad not knowing he was there but did not tell Jeremiah and that was when the two were together. Yet when they broke up he slept with sometime else. Emotionally she cheated on him

@@SnapshotsxofxLife yahh it's all about them povs lmao once u see there's it's like oop and yeah I read that she broke up with Conrad he didn't break up with her he just did not argue or something with her or fight for her to not leave him which makes sense if he thinks he's not good enough and stuff some people are like that I find yah so in away it would be bellys fault considering pretty sure in the books idk if it's true or not but u could tell there was still feeling in away I feel like she went on to marry jere because he was safe and stuff he was more open about how he felt rather Conrad where he had a hard time saying how he felt as even in the show he talks to someone don't wanna spoil to much but he generally seems happy after something happens between them but tells someone that he doesn't want to f things up so I kinda get that he just thinks he's not good enough and that she desvers better then him but that's all in his head lmao I find most people have a character that's like that 🤣 and Conrad just seems like that type and I read where jere kissed another person when him and belly where on break people say it was our of character but watching the show lmao I can kinda see him doing it 🤣 not cuz he's rude or anything just cuz he did not seem to like her at first so it's kinda like oh ok 🤣
