I think she's the most misunderstood character cause she's not just cruel and selfish. Her whole family was killed, her daughter was taken away and she had to run away for so many years. All she wanted was to survive

the poor girl has been through so much, she didn't deserve to die how she did. she deserved to find peace.

I love the end when she closes down her dead daughter's eyes during the line "you see my dreams all die" referring to the others standing in the room. It's so heartbreaking...

I hate it when people say Katherine and Elena are exactly the same , Elena was loved by her family Katherine was not , Elena was not alone she had Stefan , Caroline , Bonnie , Damon etc. even when someone dies , Elena found happiness in despair , Katherine just found more sadness the one person who loved her was her daughter but she was taken away too soon , Elena was not chased for 500 years , People always found the need to help Elena but back then no one even cared about Katherine or even knew she existed , she was too busy running , Elena said “ you don’t even care you ruined their lives “ but she was willing to kill Kol just to complete Jeremy’s mark and killed Finn , she did not even care to think that their bloodlines had innocent vampires and all that to get the cure for herself , HERSELF, she did not ask Stefan , Caroline or Damon , Somehow in the end it was all for Elena , She and people hate Katherine for compelling Damon and Stefan for her when she did that saying i don’t know and i love you to a different brother brother everyday it’s always “ i don’t know , i’m sorry , and i love you “ to a different one everyday which was annoying

When she found her mom dead it broke my heart💔💔

She’s not broken She’s not evil She just wanted someone to love, her family died, Klaus chased her for 500 years, her baby got taken away from her at birth, she is a survivor, she never turned her humanity off and she is the strongest character I’ve seen. Katherine deserved way better 😭🥺

She wasn’t always like this. She did what she had to do in order to survive. Just like Rebekah did. Katherine found her whole family murdered and had her daughter taken away from her. She’s so misunderstood

I get Katherine has done horrible things but after all she’s been through? Understand but Katherine was never a bad person she went through awful things and never truly got to live this girl is badass and she did it all by far the strongest female character on TVD so those who hate Katherine for things she’s done she did it all to SURVIVE.

she deserved her happy ending. i am so disappointed everybody did except her. i got instantly in love with katherine since her very first appearance. i think it is because a villain, in a story, has always a untold story that no one never showed. katherine's story touched me so much. all she wanted was to be loved, to find her daughter and feel protected. imagine being persecuted by a thousand year old hybrid who wants you dead, to find yourself without a family and without your daughter. katherine deep inside was good. no one wanted to know her full story or trying to understand how she felt about everything. that's the saddest thing to me.

If she is so evil why she not turn her humanity off she kept it instead because she only did stuff for love and fear of the originals

Katherine was capable of love. She loved her family and her daughter with every part of her. Klaus took that away from her. He turned her into the monster she became. She turned into that monster to protect herself. Never letting anyone else in to spare herself the pain of losing someone else she cares about. She convinced herself that by never loving again she couldn’t break, she couldn’t be harmed. A life on the run made it so hard to trust let alone love anybody. And anytime she got remotely close to anyone they were torn away from her and she was punished. She never got to hold Nadia, she never got to say goodbye to her family, she never got a moment of peace once Klaus came into her life. She really is just a misunderstood, misguided little girl who’s broken and lost. She’s a survivor, and she just wanted someone to love and to love her back without her world crumbling around her. “You weren’t born evil Katherine. Life made you that way.”

it breaks me when i hear stefan and a bunch of others say that she doesn't care about anyone, and that she is incapable of love, because that is clearly so wrong. her whole family was slaughtered and she was chased for 500 years to then be hated by her one true live and then be killed by him. in my opinion, katherine deserved happiness, and a future with stefan, because that is what would have made her grow as a person, and if he gave her a chance she would be able to change. she is only mean because hse is broken inside, but if she had people that cared about her it would be different.
