It is my firm belief that Sherlock&John are soulmates. I might not ship them in a romantic way, but there's no question in my mind on how much these two love each other and I enjoy every moment they share.This is such a beautiful edit!

Just to clarify if anyone is curious: Sociopaths find it very difficult to form emotional bonds, but they can form them. It's just usually with one person or a group but not with large groups of people as a whole. Despite not easily empathizing with others, they do feel deep emotion, and are prone to emotional outbursts and frustration. They are often easily agitated and bored, unable to stay still for very long. They are spontaneous and seem disturbed to people who don't understand them. While phsycopaths are usually the way that they are genetically, sociopaths actually are not. Their environment (especially during childhood) causes them to become that way. Sherlock portrays sociopaths the way that they actually are. He portrays a real person who has been hurt so deeply that his psyche has been altered in order to protect him from further pain. Emotions are scary to him and this is why (spoiler) he is so torn apart when forced to feel and hurt Molly and feel in her behalf in season 4. This emotional outburst would have been over the top from someone else-for him it was normal. He had been improving, forcing himself to open to people, be kind, and love more. He was changing his mentality in degrees. And then with Euros and Molly he forced his heart open wider for himself and another person and had it smashed, proving his psyche right. For him that was the most awful thing he could have experienced. Telling himself 'no' right before he broke the casket was his trying to deal with and fix that part of him he had been trying so hard to heal. He is an incredibly strong character who is made better with the constant presence of someone to love (Watson). He has definately improved since the beginning of the show, and maybe he won't be a sociopath someday, but today he is. That's what makes him such a special character. When seeing his full mentality, he is easy to love.

Most people just focus on the fact that Sherlock and John 'should be together' and that it's 'obvious that John's gay' but John is so much more than just Sherlock's companion that needs to be shipped with him, he changed him into someone who can feel emotions and respect people and give him company. John's impact on Sherlock's emotions is really not recognised enough so this video was amazing, thank you!
I think that they're already in together. In some kind of way. They love each other, but they don't have to express that with sex nor kissing (nor any sexual...attitude).
This is absolutely glorious. I really love Sherlock's development from S1 till now. He's come so far with the help of his friends and the fact that he tries to pay it forward to his little sister just makes me love him all the more.

My favourite thing about Sherlock is that subconsciously, although he tried protecting himself from the same hurt again, his heart over ruled him everything and that is the most human thing about him!

Ah, this made me cry, it's so good. Sherlock has just changed and developed so much throughout the series, starting out as seemingly cold and uncaring ("high functioning sociopath") and ending up an sensitive, emotional human. I just love it.
Yes, but only seemingly, but not in reality, because he never was a sociopath, that's officially stated by Steven Moffat. And it's also stated that Sherlock is portrayed as slightly autistic. Makes for me much more sense as the bloody sociopath thing.

Season 3 breaks my heart, I don't know why I am crying. Sherlock was finally a human , but he is dead inside, he misses John, misses the person who teaches him to be human then leaves him serving the day alone. Sherlock was trying so hard to impress John in the restaurant, he was so shocked to hear that John got a date and was going to get married, he was heartbroken on the day of marriage that he tried to look his best and even brought a telegram.. he didn't want to ruin it with his feelings. He wanted to save John so bad he put himself and Mycroft in danger, he became a drug addict and hooked up with women, he wasn't just doing it for the case, but to substitute John, and he knew he cannot. Season 5 gonna damn bring them back together or the show is not the same again.
WOAH- what was THAT? I didn't expect to be moved to tears but I was! This edit is one of the best I've seen!! There's so much pain in their story... but there's also love (however we want to define it). The comparisons you made of S1 vs S4 broke me... BBC Sherlock is so beautiful with his snow white skin, his ebony black curls, his rain grey eyes, his delicate traits, and his young facial traits. He reminds me of some of the beautiful characters in Botticelli's paintings. Put a frock coat on him and a pair of boots and he's so beautiful he could easily pass for a prince or a nobleman of some kind, also from what I've heard he knows how to dance, so he could easily entertain guests at a royal ball or a masquerade ball. Also, I love Johnlock, and I love Parentlock even more (I love fanfics where Sherlock and John get married and raise Rosie together, and they're daddy and papa).
