For people who don't know, these are two characters from a video game called Undertale. The girl on the right is Chara and the person on the right is Frisk. Frisk is thought to be a girl, although Toby Fox, the creator of the game, never clarified for sure because a mix of genders plays Undertale. Chara and Frisk are the children of a goat-woman named Toriel. Toriel is kind to both of them and does her best to teach them that fighting is never the answer. Chara doesn't listen to her. In the game, there are three routes: genocide, pacifist, and neutral. With genocide, you have to kill everything in your path. With neutral you kill some monsters and spare the others. In pacifist, you spare everything, which is, of course, the path Toriel wants you to take. Chara takes the genocide route, although you never get to play as her in the game. The only time you'll ever see her, is the very end of the genocide route (WARNING: SHE WILL JUMPSCARE YOU!). You play as Frisk, and therefore you get to choose your path. The different routes can result in different bosses. Basically, there was a time when monsters and humans lived in peace. One day, however, war broke out between the two races. The monsters lost, and were banished to the Underground as punishment. They needed the power of eight human souls to break a magical barrier keeping them from the human world. When it says steal your heart, this represents a soul. Toriel's ex-husband, Asgore, has been waiting for a human to fall into the hole leading to the Underground (the setting of the entire game). Every monster in the game has a goal: to steal one last human soul and return it to Asgore so they can be free. Each soul represents a different strength each human had/has. Chara and Frisk have the same soul. Theirs is red and represents determination. The skeleton dude in the middle is Sans. He’s the main boss in the genocide route (you don’t fight him in the pacifist route). When his eye turned blue and he put his hand down, that’s the moment where he gives you a chance to spare him. However, he actually says “get dunked on,” and kills you. That flower’s name is Flowey. When you first fall down, he tells you about your soul. When he shoots bullets at you, he tells you that they’re “friendship pellets,” (they’re not). If you keep dodging them, he gets mad and encompasses you in them. This is where Toriel comes in and saves you. Either way, you can’t get killed by Flowey at this state. Anyways, Undertale is a great game and I highly recommend you check it out! It’s only $10 on Steam, but if you can’t afford it, you can still watch someone play it. EDIT: Please stop harassing me. You can sit your ass down and argue with me that Chara wasn't evil (which is an OPINION). Correcting anything that I said that was incorrect is fine, but I have like fifty replies about the same thing. If I upset you, I'm sorry. All I wanted to do was give a basic rundown of the game for those who weren't aware of what Undertale was. ALSO, I have played through all three endings, and I can say that I can argue lots of points. EDIT 2: If I get another comment about how Chara's not evil I'mma lose my shit
