I challenge you to NOT make excuses for yourself but instead see this video as an idea to think "How could I try implement this into my life in a way that works for me?" I often get asked how I get so much done as a work from home, homeschooling mama of a large family and HANDS DOWN, having this time for me in the mornings makes the *biggest* difference!

I have a clock for our son that turns green when it's a good time to wake up. Game changer for our family. He was waking up at 5am and would be so tired parts of the day but didn't want to nap. When the clock is red we told him that just means he can still get some good sleep before starting his day. When we first started this I would walk him back to his room, tuck him back in, and say "I'm so proud of you for wanting the extra sleep you need for your day so you can play harder! Try to get some rest sweet boy, I'll have a yummy breakfast ready for you when it's time to start your day!" Now he sleeps better, he is not so tired and over stimulated, and I can get my alone time to fill my tank before the kids wake. I love it!!

You’re so productive before the kids get up! You’re motivating me to start setting my alarm for earlier again. We’re just finishing our first week of summer break, so we’ve taken it VERY easy. But having an hour getting stuff done before the kids get up is so worth it!

I love the idea of having time before the kids wake up. My question to you is, what time do you go to bed and when do you find time with your husband? My husband is a night owl and I find evenings after the kids go to bed is when we have time for each other but then I am in bed too late to get up early and have time for myself. Just trying to figure out a good balance.

As a single college student and working young woman, I start my day out with making my bed and getting in the word of God every morning. I started it last year and it transform my life. Then be the proverbs woman as I should be because God does not bless a lazy man. God will do His part as we do ours. That is the way it is.

Hi Tabitha, waking up earlier than my kids has truly been a game changer as far as having a different disposition even. Having those 30 mins alone and time to go through the day in my mind... looking around at my house and everything is quite...helped me being so thankful for those little faces I'm about to see again as they wake up one by one! It's a wonderful way to tell them I love them and have a few intentional minutes with each one of them (I'm a mom to 6 too😅) I also enjoy reading a chapther or few lines of Mother Culture❤

I love getting up before my kids! We’re all early risers in our house! My husband and I usually try to get up between 4-5 so we have some time to ourselves before the kids get up (usually between 5:30/6:30). I’d love to be as productive as you are in the mornings but usually I’m lucky to get through prayer time before kids wake up 😂 Now having a newborn obviously throws most of it out the window but we’ll slowly get back into a routine!

I read something recently that said research had been done on Bible reading. It was found that reading the Bible once or twice a week produced no change in the life, reading it three times a week started to produce small changes, and reading four or more times a week really made a difference. I think it’s so very important that we make this a daily thing in our own lives and the lives of our kids.

I absolutely LOVE watching your videos. I have a 11(1 yr on the 28th) month old and I’m still struggling with ppd. I’m finding it extremely hard to be positive about ANYTHING. I have 3 other kids here as well. 12,9&4. My husband is always commenting that’s I’m so negative. I try reading my Bible but that’s a struggle as well. The little guy wakes up at between 4 and 5:30 for his bottle then he’s back up at 6:30. I’m so tired that we just lay in bed for over an hour. We are all on 1 floor except the basement so if I take him out of my room he’ll wake up the other kiddos😩😩. I guess it’s just a season and it shall pass. How do you stay so positive with you kids home all the time? All mine do is ask me what they can do and don’t want to do anything I suggest 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

I would love to know how you get your littles to sleep later 😂 my 10 month old, 2.5 year old, and 4 year old are typically up between 6-6:30 majority mornings. If I’m REALLY lucky, they will sleep until 7 but that is not very often. As always, appreciate your encouragement and motivation

Hey can I ask what time your kids go to bed if they wake at 8-8:30? My 2 year old goes to bed 6:30-7:30pm and naturally wakes around 6-6:30am. I set my alarm for 5:45-6am but i co sleep so he usually wakes when I get out of bed. I now spend my time in bed reading my Bible app & doing a Bible plan/devotional. My 5 year old goes to bed 7-8pm and wakes 6:30-7:30am. Are yours going to bed much later? It’s hard because my husband and I like our night time together. We go to bed 9:30-10pm so we get a good 1.5-2hours together.
