I use one of these as a work vehicle, mostly towing a fairly heavy sled off-road. It has proved to be ideal for the job, easy to hold a very straight line at a pretty constant low speed. I added a rail to the front to help mount an agricultural navigation system. We work with a 2-person crew which helped to steer us towards this model in the first place. The 4-wheel drive has been useful on occasion but for the most part we run in 2WD on the assumption that we will use less fuel. All in all, it has proved to be a very good vehicle for us.
Ha! That's great fun Mark. What a beast. And the 'boot' is only big enough for me Cornish pasty!! And you really need to go back and do an off road segment!! Great stuff.
Hi Mark - Great review, and I would definitely need the winch to get the present Mrs P on it - lol Seriously I think good value in the right environment - a brave on road review Mark
@@markpulling12 You are not kidding - you deserve many medals! but on a farm - perfect, but please no more risk taking ! I want a new bike not a dead reviewer my friend - take care
Good review, one thing worth mentioning is licence needed to ride a quad on the road..........A CAR licence NOT bike is needed. I've a 2017 525s which has proved its worth time and time again, the waterproofing is excellent.........I've (not on purpose) been through seat height standing water, and its not missed a beat. Mine is the non power steering model - my choice - handling on road, there is a skill to getting the best out of getting around corners reasonably swiftly, and its to do with transfer of body weight. All in all a good working/leisure vehicle, and when time comes will happily go CF moto again.
Great review as usual but I couldn’t have one as I’ve got a Cavalier King Charles spaniel. Seriously though, do you drive or ride a quad and do you need a car license to take it on the road ?
Hi , yes if one could find the tracks to use it on or road tyres and pop off down the beach in the evenings , with ones paddle board . Have you ever done a trike as I have a Suzuki ct 800 REWAKO in my garage , if you want some fun or adventure in Verwood . The E bike you tested ? did you get it local to Poole .😉
Why not record the sound of the atv when you were riding it down the road? Any restrictions as to where you can ride them in the UK, besides the likely obvious motorways? I have a very off road oriented polaris sportsman 400 here in Canada. The lack of differential in the rear means a lot of tire scrub in tight turns. For road use the longer 2up chassis like this would be a better bet. One thing about a quad vs a motorcycle, you don't have the same anxiety of a wheel slipping out and it going down. Much more confidence on wet, frost covered, muddy or gravel roads. If you are careful they are great in snow too. You can't say that for your bike.
Oh no Mark's gone over to the dark side! Here in the state of Iowa, a rural area, in the US quads of all types are everywhere now. Many motorcycle dealers now do a better business selling quads than motorcycles. Our state legislature OK'd their use on just about every road but national and state highways. When I'm out and about now I have to always be on the alert for quads. They do have some use restrictions for use but in rural areas there's very little law enforcement presence. Off road and on the farm they are great as they can do a lot of work that other vehicles just can't do.
Oh Mark, I don’t know why, but I want one now. Just to take the wife to Greg’s on and to tow a trailer to the rubbish tip. Think I’m convincing myself into buying one😳
They max about 38 mph but that's due to the ECU ...they can easily be made to do 55 mph ish with upgrade ECU,but I suppose if they are off road in fields etc 38 mph is fast enough as it's a work machine Cheers mark
G'day Mark, WTF, now your reviewing farm machinery, what next a Tractor and how it handles the corners, just kidding mate, but this is not hard hitting biker stuff, but you do it well, l can see you on one of there in you old age, cheers, Neil 🤠.
Interesting vehicle. Tall, short wheelbase = unstable at speed, I'd think, but they're not made for speed. My 'car' is a Can-Am Spyder F3-S, so this piqued my interest.
@@markpulling12 You would think their marketing department would beyond this sort of thing now. It wouldn't stop me buying one if I needed one. Just looks daft. And CF Moto are a good company then deserve to do well.
