The 40hp on this bike is more realistic for larger roads than the 20hp of the smaller Royal Enfields. It depends on if you like the classic look or the modern look tho.
Could well be the bike I've been looking for. Lightweight, good handling, real world performance for all UK roads, reasonable economy and a fair price. Ideal really.
So glad you are review theese Voge bikes. There is almost none in english. Have a 300 DS. Very happy with it but vaiting for the CU 525. That look fantastic. Hope to see you on one when it comes to the shop. Best regards Jan Tore Hansen
Thanks for reminding me of this video. I remember seeing it now. Just watched it again. What a good-looking little bike. I like the yellow better. Just realised it's a twin. I prefer singles up to 600cc. Nick
You really makes good reviews. Thank you! This machine looks so good. I went out the other day on my sons girlfriends 390 Duke. It was surprisingly fun in a "this little engine shouldn't be able" kind of fun! When I downsized to my 690 Duke, I thought I reached the lowest bar for what could be considered minimum sized motorbike. But now I'm not so sure! These smaller ones are so much more relaxed fun! I really don't know how to describe it! And this Voge looks like one of those high smile/mile bikes.
Thanks John I've owned both the 690 and 390 duke ....I know exactly what you mean...the voge is fun like the KTM but not so aggressive and rides better at low speeds Best regards mark
I agree John. Mark doesn't do 'hype' or scream as he opens up a hyper-bike. Just common sense, calm informative reviews. I am only surprised he doesn't have double the subs.
that bike seems amazing ;; at that price it out classes the new triumph 400 and hd 400 , and is around twice the power of the enfield 350 with less weight ,,;;; it is very rare a bike [or anything ] comes close to 100 percent but this is close ;;; we have to hope the spares and service back up are in place ;; also the rear mudguard issue about not enough coverage again , when your video first started and you said it's 40 bhp --- i immediately was thrown into hoping this would be a winner , - and after your review it seems good news ;; best review
It reminds me of a couple different Hondas mashed together...not a bad thing to be said. The tail end of it is very stubby looking, not sure if Id like that, but it may grow on me. The screen I was a bit iffy on, but that may have been gopro being gopro.. when you got into the shade it was much nicer. All and all it seems nice, but sadly probably not here in the US! :(
G'day Mark, with so many motorbike groups and companies competing in the bike market it's like the boom time of the 1960s so many options then the crash and only the strongest survived, time is a good test of reliability, this bike looks the part but it's like many now, great review, cheers mate, ride safe, Neil 🤠.
Thank you Mark. Another comprehensive and to the point review. You can't fault these bikes can you? Such value for money and very competent if not excellent rideability. :>)
Hi Mark, greaat review as alwya. You give real world informative reviews with all the information that is desirable.I have a Hunter like you and would ask if this little 350 could tempt you away from the Hunter ?
Hi Alan the hunter is a fantastic bike a class of it's own with that great single engine This voge rides superbly...the twin engine has a lot more get up and go than the hunter ....I was really surprised how well it rode.... I haven't got the hunter anymore...I'm always buying and selling lol But yes I'd definitely be happy to buy this voge Cheers mark
Beauty, as they say, lies in the eyes of the beholder but I'd say that's a very nice looking bike and, as you might expect, very good value for money. When I saw it in the flesh it did look very "small" but there again I was about to get on the Voge Rally which is anything but. Perhaps not a bike for taller riders? Can't help thinking the designers might have been watching too many reviews of the Husqvarna Vitpilen but IMHO it tops that for looks (and price of course). I wonder if it could compete with the Kawasaki Z400 for the sheer fun factor, but that comes in at nearly £1500 more, so maybe the Voge is a more "sensible" choice. Anyway. Thanks for the review.
Cannot stop rewatching your videos Mark, this bike and the 125 Voge are really growing on me, just thinking about the long term ownership in respect of servicing and parts backup. Dealers in my part of the world are thin on the ground; NW England. Any chance of the Z500 Kawasaki naked and CF moto 450 naked being tested?
Thanks Michelle...I'll review the Kawasaki when Bournemouth Kawasaki gets one... And hopefully Poole Moto will get a cf450 at some point Best wishes mark
Nice review Mark. You get a lot of bike for the money here!, 40BHP which (as someone as already mentioned ) double the horses of a 350RE and a lot lighter AND this bike will get you out of trouble with it's extra power. My only worry is that the brand doesn't take off here in the UK, this will effect the residual value, parts availability and after sales care. What people don't realize is that most motorcycle engines are most probably made by Loncin China. But ""we" are adverse to change and brand snobbery or conservative attitudes to change prevent us from do the right thing. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. Also Mark can you review the Voge cu 525 Cruiser (if available here in the UK). Cheers 🙂
Thanks Vince ....re residual.....it's horses for courses really...a new bmw 18 k sell 2 years later get back 15 k ...buy this at 4 k get back say 2.5 k after 2 years if you get my meaning Best wishes mark
Nice little bike. China are making some great bikes these days and quality seems up there with the best of them. This one should take some business away from Enfield with the more refined twin cylinder engine, LED lights etc. What a time to be in the market for a mid-size bike, what a great choice. Great video as always Mark.
Great review as usual Mark. My question to you would be this….would you swap your Hunter 350 for one of these ? If not what makes the difference (apart from the fact the Hunter is a single of course) ?
@markpulling12 You have so right about the charm of the RE. I am looking to buy a 3rd bike below 5k euro , ac350 is a possibility but the charm , the name ,the style of the hunder ac don't have. 99% I will trust you and also me I will go for the hunder. Keep the good work of reviewing bikes . Cheers from greece.
Hi Peter no I didn't see one either ...when I'm in Poole Moto next week I'll have a look over the bike again... sometimes they hide them in strange places :) Best wishes mark
Great review Mark. I'm wondering whether to change my G310R for this bike for the twin cylinders, less vibes. I don't think that you have tested the G310r? What think you?
Hi ...I haven't tried the 310 BMW ...but this is very smooth and punchy...I wasn't expecting too much but I was very impressed how well this little bike rides Highly recommended it Best wishes mark
The new 350 cf moto looks similar but just a little better I think. Similar price point too. Think it will come down to dealership availability and after sales quality.
Good review as usual, but why have they put Cordial tyres on it, crazy 😢 I’ve got these on my small capacity bike deadly in the wet, changing them asap
Nice little bike for beginners, the Chinese are better and better with still nice prices and equipements, like it ✌️ just the tank shape can be maybe a problem for taller people, I mean room for the legs!?
Very interesting. Voge are going to give established western manufacturers a run for their money. GOOD! This is what bike industry needs! A breath of fresh air! Keep it simple and basic! Good one Voge 🤗👍
60mpg for such a small motor isn't really very good. I would expect it to be in the 80mpg range at least. My BMW r1200rt does 60mpg - yes, I am old and the motor gets an easy time with me.
I'm only surmising as a lot of people thrash the .... out of these things...likes of MCN report 50 mpg out of small engines quite often BUT I'm sure you could easily get way more with normal riding Best wishes mark
Hi mark ...it compares very well indeed ..better suspension than the hunter ... obviously faster and more power but most people don't buy the hunter for speed ...it's an all round very good bike ...smooth , great handling and comfortable Best regards
@@markpulling12 yeah I'm not in the market for speed just something that is a good all rounder that can do a little motorway work when required. Did toy with the idea of a Zontes ZT125 G1 too but thought that may not do the motorway part very well (although not it's main use)
It looks rather good quality. Not the performance of my 390 Duke, I'd suggest. Or has it? You'll know, Mark. I much prefer the Voge's dash. In fact, better-looking all round than the 390. Do Voge do a 500? And a quick check revelas they do a 500 AC. 1990 [Nick J]
Hi it's more powerful with better suspension bit the hunter has a bit more character from its single cylinder engine...both great bikes in their own ways Best regards mark
Why the high level exhaust? Bring on a scrambler version with wire wheels. Certainly more pokey than your Hunter, but the Triumph 400X is probably going to be as cheap.
Voge actually do a 350 AC and X model with wire wheels and low exhaust but we are just getting this model for now ...I think the triumph will be in the region of £5.5 k Best wishes mark
www.cycleworld.com/story/motorcycle-news/2021-voge-525r-and-250rr-model-details-revealed/ Hi I think voge are in the USA ...have a Google search for your local dealer Best wishes mark
hi mark ,the 400,s 350s are taking over lol,, was wondering how your getting on with the hunter 350 , i have a 650 ninja and thinking about a change to a the new triumph 400 or the hunter , the only thing stopping me is the bhp ,can i live with low bhp or can i change my mindset about power output on bikes and once you pull the trigger thats it.on the ninja it get from a to b as fast as i can , do you think lower hp means more fun
Hi Bill you can have alot of fun on small capacity bikes ...this one really impressed me how well it rides ... easily as nice as the hunter but with more power and better suspension But the hunter kind of has more character with its thump thump:) Best regards mark
Loncin Holdings, Ltd is a large company in Chongqing, China that distributes throughout the world.[1] It trades under names such as Chongqing Longting Power Equipment, Longting and Loncin (USA) Inc. It is known for its Loncin brand of motorcycle and ATVs produced by its subsidiary Longxin Motorcycle Industry Co., Ltd.[citation needed] and for the UAVs produced by its Loncin UAV subsidiary. In Italy and Turkey, its motorcycles are sold under the Voge brand name, Viper Motorcycles in Ukraine, Italika in continental latin america except Costa Rica, where it is called Katana
It would be a lot better with a 'normal' rear light/number plate assembly and the exhaust is not good looking in my opinion. Your 350 RE Mark looks a lot better
Hunter 350 for me because of its character and thump thump single which is fantastic....but the voge is alot faster and handles better ...so for many people it would be the better choice Best regards mark
Very nice. What worries me is that eventually, all I.C.E. engines will have to be banned because of climate change. If people could change to motorcycles from cars, that would be a good start. I don't know why you compare bikes to sewing machines. My sewing machine has lot of vibration!
Comments after Essais/Test ride : Front brake pretty-much non existent, back brake good; Taller than I remembered; VERY short gearing, leading to 60 kph at 6000 rpm; Vibey, like riding a 125cc; Good handling:cornering on-road; didn’t test off-road; Not for me.
Hi Mark, late to the party as ever, anyway asked you for a review and you didn't dissapoint loved the review so much we went and got one. No regreats little mini holigan bike. Tailtidy and a different end can now tidies up the back end. Absolute fun all the way and the fueling is very good and quite responsive for a little 350. I'll say again fun fun fun.. Keep up the good work.... J.
