Wow! I'm from the US, and this bike hits different. Great looking bike, I like the 240 tire, 6 gears and torque is impressive. The price is affordable too.
I was waiting for this after the preview. Lovely review and such an enthusiastic ride - as expected. It's funny, i can't remember another twin-V review! I'll have to search the channel!
I don't like cruisers so much , but that one looks so different . Wonder if that exhaust would be a rust magnet being matt black ? Great vid Mark as usual , one of the most informative detailed vids on the Tube .
Interesting bike. I do like the look of that actually. Interested to see what other models they bring out with the same engine. Cracking review again Mark. Cheers 👍
very interesting and you have answered the questions I was curious about, plenty of power and torque evidently and looks like it is a bike that could do some long tours on without travelling everywhere at warp speed, just lazily ambling around with speed available very easily when required, as I said I have been waiting for a decent reviewer to review it and when you said you had it for a bit of time I was well looking forward to what you had to say, seems to be everything I had hoped it would be
Very nice machine, lovely vee twin sound, I'd like to see chrome or stainless pipes? I noticed it had braided brake lines, nice touch, great review as always, thanks Mark 👍
Looks great but my ex wife had a Honda 125 that sounded just like that🤣🤣🤣 For me i would want to know dealer network, accessories, parts back up. No problem buying Chinese but the support needs to be there. Ive seen reports of people getting rid of Benellis due to no back up.
Keeway - QJ and so Geely. So pretty good. Reminds me most of the big Japanese v twins of the 80s/90s tho with more modern styling (and not trying to look like a HD clone throwback to the 30s.
Another brilliant review Mark, these Chinese bikes are really starting to rival the big names very well . I'm not a fan of foot forward control bikes but i really like the look of this bike apart from the exhaust end can which I'm not a fan of . Keep up the good work 👍
great review Mark . you always cover every point and are very thorough . I dont think i could bting myself to buy Chinese made bikes . but this one is very impressive .
I like the way it looks and the stats are really good. I think its a big risk for Keeway to try a higher priced model though, specially since that exhaust will need to be replaced.
getting good reviews and looks and sounds like a very good bike never been into cruisers .be interesting to see second hand values as the starting price is very good for what you get nice vid .
As a 60 year rider who still rides twice a day, I ride the super highways here is SoCal. Average speed is 70-80 with an occasional 90. As one who thrives on novelty and change, this bike lights my fire. Hopefully we'll see it here soon.
Really good review of a bike that I am overjoyed to see hit the market here. I’ve been dealing with Chinese manufacture since 1995, lived there for 3 years and made many factory visits. There will always be haters, just as there was when Japanese bikes first hit the market. I agree some of the early machines and low end bikes have had a speckled history in respect of the longevity and material quality but bike like this one, and the Benelli and Voge and several others are really making the grade. In all seriousness, I would definitely have this cruiser in my garage in place of my Harley, there is a demo bike in Cardiff and I’m planning a test drive soon. It is my hope that bikes like these will make other manufacturers take a long hard look at their ranges and more importantly their pricing, it can only be good for the customer in the long run.
Many thanks yes people's views are gradually changing and if you think of it the "jap" machines only make up a small percentage of the market now ... benelli voge cfmoto etc are all decent these days Best wishes mark
Hi mark, good review on this cruiser. Good all round coverage providing all the information on the bike. My only reservation on the bike is the colour, is it only available in black? Belt drive, Crouse control, options for riding mode's. What more can you want on a bike like this? Looks to me like they are a serious contender in this market.
Strange, a good two years ago this bike was planned as the Brixton GK 1000 Thor. I downloaded some video clips back then. 🤔 This is a damn cool bike and if you are not fundamentally opposed to Chinese bikes, this is a real alternative and probably only costs around €11,000! 👍
G'day Mark , Great review, time will tell if this manufacturer will be around in the future, not a fan of the look and what's going on with that bar around the rear wheel is that to scrap the mud of when riding Chinese roads, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
This bike looks very nice. even from the left hand side (take note H-D Revolution Max engineers!) The fit & finish / build quality looks quite good. Metzeler Cruisetec OEM tyres ... that's an absolute bonus. I'm not a fan of super wide rear tyres (or their replacement cost). I wonder if it's got hydraulic valve lifters? I'd love to have a go on one though. I'd love to see a 1800cc version. It'll be a lifetime before there's a decent dealer network established in my country though.
@@markpulling12 You're a privileged man to have experienced a ride on this machine. I really want this brand & model to succeed. The styling is actually quite good. The only downside I see is the unlikely options for luggage and the pillion area is virtually useless (as it is on many other bikes). Anyway, a tailbag & a backpack is better than nothing when it comes to storage for overnight trips. I'm sure the bike can do what it's intended for (a mid-muscle cruiser that won't break the bank). Any cruiser fitted with a set factory fitted of Metzeler Cruisetecs is almost like getting a discount on the purchase price. Those tyres are so good to ride on. It wouldn't surprise me if Keeway have actually got the stock suspension working perfectly out of the crate. Exhaust pipes look good, sound good and that's a big money saver right there. A big thumbs up to the decent sized fuel tank. I do wish the front mudguard would provide a big more coverage on the lower end. If I wasn't a 'rusted-on H-D owner' and the MBP was available in my city, I'd probably go out and buy one. Did I mention that I'm a Metzeler Cruisetec fan? Cheers from the south west coast of the island of Australia.
Thanks for the really interesting review Mark. I have to admit I don't like the styling of this bike - too Mad Max for my taste. Still, there might be a market niche for that in the UK.
130 front needs a 180 rear , proper rear fender and real mirrors for steep hills and tight turns that make motorcycling on proper cruisers FUN, want highway cruise, get a goldwing.
not a fan of too much tech on a cruiser , or all black paint , or the style ,, BUT the way it rides and sounds, and the clarity of the screen , and the apparent build quality - i am quite surprised ;; 10 times better than i first thought , spares are an issue - check this out before purchase , very good test ride mark ;;
I thought the design ascetic a bit confused. looks like h-d v-rod, h-d breakout and a honda dn-01 somehow had an illegitimate offsping. not bad though! powertrain looked good and sensible belt drive.
You can pick up a second hand BMW R18 with less than 1k miles for similar price. Which won’t depreciate any lower where as this bike will tank in depreciation.
To be fair, the bmw tanks in depreciation if you have bought it new. £17k new to £10k in 2 years and less than 3000 miles. It's all relative and you take your chances.
looking at they's in the bike shop yesterday, never heard of them before and we were puzzling where they came from, have to say knowing nothing about them we all agreed they were a nice looking bike and a bit shocked to hear they are chinese
Nice review, Mark. At first I thought a bit shorter wheel base might add some agility at the cost of stability. But it's not that kinds of bike... it's a bit too heavy to be really nimble like an MT07. This is a high speed cruiser that excels at high speed stability. However, in order to make good use of that all day long you still need more wind protection. But at least it has the cruise control. And this is why I find myself returning to the BMW R 1250 RT with all the extras. It too has the high stability, but it also is nimble, giving it more of the fun factor as well. But then it's almost three times the cost with the extras. This MNP bike has it's place, but it's just not quite as versatile. Nevertheless, it is very well made. This looks like it is a Harley riders alternative with better suspension at a third of the price. Where is this bike made? Gord
@@markpulling12 Thanks Mark. The name Keeway makes me think the design is Australian. I have never seen this heavy and well made of a bike out of China before. It looks like a western design made in China with strict specs on materials and craftsmanship. Gord
@@markpulling12 Indeed, Mark... You did a great job coveying the bikes characteristics. That's really what people want to see and hear. I could feel the ride as you were riding and reflecting on it. Gord
Hi Jim my bikes are always changing because of what I do but I currently have two great bikes Triumph speed triple 1050 rs Ducati multistrada 1200 Cheers mark
Seems a nice bike , but the price , the cost of servicing, along with dealer backup and parts it's a huge gamble let's be honest. I wish them well but in my opinion it should of been £6995 to give it a chance.
'MBP'......the 'B' standing for 'Bologna', rather relevant in this case in terms of design and management. MBP, along with BENELLI, and KEEWAY being part of Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Group Co. ('QJ' Group).
Buying an off brand bike is always a risk; no matter how good. I found out the hard way when parts and service disappeared and eventually the distributer went kaput. I'll stick to my Honda and Suzuki thanks. At least I know they'll still be around.
Chinese are the masters of mockery. Seat look like A Rocket 3. I would like a long term review.Only time will tell. Cheers from Texas!!🤘🤠🤘 That thang needs sum pipe! Sounds like a sewing machine.😅
Peak torque is high in the rev range for this type of bike. I like belt drives. The TFT, whilst a good one, doesn't suit the bike. Overall, an odd-looking creation. I doubt it will sell well. I may be wrong. I often am. It seems to go well enough. I'd probably enjoy riding it, after all I've said. Nick
Mark, this is a good bike and seems to have filled a niche left when Victory Motorcycles was axed. Not everyone wants to shell out massive money for an Indian, so I think that Polaris made a mistake.
It didn't start well with a rear light covered in dirt, where have we come in 124 years! Only being picky but thank you Mark for doing first proper professional review!
To much plastics that just look bad dont flow like a cruiser lines should. Exhaust looks cheap and difficult headers to get to should you want to change. And there is always the questions of spares , servicing and modifications on a China bike like this.
That just shows you not NOTHING of bikes and CLEARLY just bashing it out without focusing on the review and because its from China…Spares?….EASIER to get them than the Italians for sure but dont see you complaining about then?….hahahaha, i want to see how you going to survive from not facing the reality 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
@@tardeepsingh2863 not sure what age you are obviously having a tantrum and not checking what you have written. I have over 40 biking experience and stand by everything I said in my comment. It's a free country and you can purchase whatever you like. I didn't comment on Italian bikes because they are not on review .
@@rabfergy7155 ohh, tantrum?…you have over 40 biking experience but you speak as you only own 40 toy bikes…it doesnt matter the number of bikes you have but the maturity comes from experiencing REAL ride…clearly you know not as such!
@@tardeepsingh2863 it's clear your either in a tantrum or not English as you can't type a proper coherent sentence. You obviously have your experience of cheap bikes and I have mine. I don't own any toy bike at all. In 3 years this bike will have a lower re sales value than the money it saved you in the first place. The fit and finish will be worse even if garaged. Service won't save much with the amount of plastic to be removed to get to anything. Dealers don't stock parts much and it will take weeks if not months to get assuming the part you want is available. If the model run doesn't sell well you could be left with a bike that no one wants and your stuck with. Like I said I stick to my original post. Many bikers I know added a Chinese bike to there garage and treated it as they do all their bikes and they weren't impressed with how they aged
Also it's nothing to do with the country it made as most small capacity bike's from Japanese, European and US are outsourced to cheaper run plants in other countries, ktm for example. But somehow they maintained a better build quality.
Hi Mark, Thanks for the good review. Following some basic research, what I found interesting is that you did not mention that this bike is Chinese made. Not that that's an issue or anything, I mention this because I've come to trust your reviews and, as a result, anticipate full disclosure on all bikes when you talk about their manufacturer. I appreciate that not everyone is a fan of Chinese bikes, but please don't sell off your credibility for the sake of a few coins.
Hi I did mention that it's made by the keeway group which is a known Chinese manufacturer ....plus pretty much all bikes these days ...non honda Suzuki etc ...it's a given that they are all chinese made ....which is mostly the case for everything we have in our homes these days Oh well way of the world I guess 😆 lol Best wishes mark
Thought nice till you said keeway one of the worst motorcycles coming out of china. Time will tell if they have better quality control on the big bikes.
Chinese and Indian motorcycles no longer need to be measured against Japan, they hold their heads high both in build and cost! Please don't compare them to Honda as they stand along with the best with no excuses needed. Wish they would give these bikes names and not number identification.
