so, i bought qsolo and found i was stuck with the larger mic.. since no flat mic option provided. my helmet just is too close to face to allow that.. so i lopped off the mic, since i knew i wouldnt be using it anyway. I totally forgot that the audio adjusts based on sound in the mic.. so since then I've had trouble with the unit being too quiet. And since the unit has failed anyway.. just like the other i bought from them did.. too soon. So, yes.. this looks like a better option at a great price!
Hi Mark. Thank you for your review on the Fodsports M1-S Plus helmet Bluetooth intercom communication system. I purchased two units for $96 AU each in Sydney Australia through eBay. Set each unit up on a Nolan 40-5 helmets and connected to Samsung android phone via Bluetooth. I have tried various functions including intercom, FM radio, music (using Spotify), making and receiving mobile phone calls. At this stage the units are performing well. The music comes through loud and clear. FM radio is a bit scratchy, however the signal may be better on the open road rather then in the house. I think the unit would be great for a club ride group or a rider with pillion or two mates on a ride.
The radio signal isn't the best and the sound from radio is the best . Thats my only complaint on this intercom .. there is a update for it but there's not a english version yet
I've had the M1-S Pro for a long time now, used to be much cheaper, even my exact model is at least double what I paid. But it is great for music and calls, never used for comms bike to bike though.
I've been put off buying an intercom 'cos the mic and headphones have to be bought separately (or so I thought). These look good. I only want to be able to receive calls and hear my directions from google maps. Don't really need intercom (no friends😞. Should be just the thing.
@@markpulling12 thank you. I've been looking at the FX8, B4FM and this M1 S Plus for days now and you have reviews on all of them. Great reviews and now almost harder to choose. Seems like I can't go wrong no matter which. New sub either way-thanks!
hate those kind of speakers, nothing to do with the equipment, it's the helmet, so unless i can use noise cancelling headphones with it, i'm not interested, because i can't deal with the wind noise, and my helmet supposed to be one of those quiet ones
Hi handsome cutie. I have to agree ,how about using Bose noise cancelling earbuds 2022? I really like the sound and would recommend, Bose or Bang n ofusen. Good luck keeping your hearing.
I had a Fodsport sat nav for about a week, the screen froze and it never worked again! Got a replacement and it did the same!! Rubbish product in my opinion, hopefully your intercom unit is better quality🤔😬
@@markpulling12 Ok thanks. I did see that the fx6 was apparently a bit louder and good with ear plugs but Amazon reviews seem very confusing. One guy- best thing ever, next guy- worst thing ever 😫😂
Mark, so can you listen to music during an intercom conversation or is it either/or? With Sena and Cardo the music dims when someone speaks...how do these work?
Hi Mark. Thanks for this review. We are a group of up to 8 riders looking for comms. Ideally able to talk in conference. Which Fodsports unit would you recommend. FX8 Pro, M1 S plus or ???? Your thoughts are appreciated. Many thanks Graeme NZ
Hi Graeme ...I've tried a lot of the fodsports coms they all work very well .. I've still got my original fx8 and it's performing like new after 2 years ...id go for the fx8 pro as the rotary control for volume etc is very convenient...but the m1s pro would still be a great option...I think it's a bit cheaper Hope it all works out well with your group Best wishes mark
Thanks for a good review. I have had the older V6 version of the Fodsport for several years and they have been great, but I am looking to get something more up to date. But I would like an intercom where you can talk to only one other person at the time even if several others are connected to the group. Do you know if you can call up only one of several riders, or will everyone hear what is being said?
Thanks for putting this review up, the guys at my local scooter club were really impressed with these and have used them paired up to a number of riders. I did order one a couple of days ago before seeing this review so I hope it lives up to your review.
@@markpulling12 hi mate. I have a budget of £160 for a pair of intercoms so me and the girlfriend can talk to each other, what would you recommend? Please
