At last - so many gardening videos on youtube, all with hyper american accents, loud, and usually crap, music enhancement, here is something simple and well explained that tells it as it is. A pleasure to watch and listen to. You are on my list
Totally agree. Lovely to be able to connect to the pure surrounding sound of nature, no cheap trashy royalty-free music, and set in the good old weather of Blighty which I (and most viewers!) can probably relate to :-)
I have been searching all weekend for information on planting veggies I was getting so frustrated until I ran cross your videos!!! Thank you so so much! This was EXACTLY what I was looking for ❤️
Me too!! Just transplanted two to a bigger pot today and studies this video. Thank you for the tips on cutting the lower branches, 45 degree angle stems, and egg shells for calcium, ✔✔✔. I potted them next to bell peppers and roses. Wish me luck! Thank you for all your efforts and awesome videos; you take away all the fear of not knowing and make it so easy and simple to understand. Many good wishes to you, your Grandad, and Garden! 🌷
I cannot thank you enough for being a strictly gardening channel. most other gardening channels also have videos on animal slaughter. I don't even want to scroll through that in order to get to gardening videos. so, thank you thank you thank you!
This guy and this channel are AWESOME! I love him! Everyone should watch along, whether you are ready to garden now, or if you need to build up your knowledge for a future garden!
I am amazed you are growing tomatoes in the UK without a green house! My British mother-in-law grew them in her green house in West Yorkshire! Yours look great!
Thanks Lee. That's the best video I've seen about growing tomatoes! My friend has been warning me I wont succeed growing outside in the UK but hopefully these tips have explained why people fail.
Thank you...your videos are thorough and succinct! The bird songs in the background are appreciated! Pee, Banana peels, wood ashes, and used coffee grounds work wonders!
This video actually has a lot of other tips besides growing tomatoes; a very well put sprinkling of needed information of pest management and organic/compost usage.
I have watched a number of your videos now and they are all really, really good. Well done to you and thanks from an old boy with newly found green fingers. Thanks.
Love your videos it's thanks to you I have 10 avocado plants lol now I have a blimin whole nursery growing ha, your straight to the point and easy to follow and have a great soothing voice aswell ! Keep it up !!
Hi, I am so glad I’ve come across your channel! I’ve just moved house and there’s a greenhouse in the garden and your videos are motivating me to start growing my own fruit and veg, so easy to follow for us beginners :) Thanks for the great videos and helping a girl out 👌🏼
Just want to say that your videos are very informative and has a lot of good interesting facts mentioned. I've just started growing this vegetables this year and this is very helpful.
First time here . I've just ( literally 45 minutes ago) bought 4 tomato plants so came looking for advice. I found you and have subscribed, I'm sure I need look no further as your video is easy to understand and explains step by step. Thanks very much.
Wow!!!! This is the super video that I've watched so far, It's packed with all the important info that a gardener needs to know and I love it because it's a straight to the point and not time consuming about unimportant info.So I just subscribed to get notified on New beneficial topics on gardening😍
hmmm.. your style in video telling me that you are professional in your hobby.. keep on with best of luck.. I am from Pakistan. and kitchen gardening is my hobby too.. your video was excellent
This is really useful thank you. I won't use your piss solution (1-4 water plus wood) because if anyone knew that they would be inclined to taste that. However the structure, the egg shells, the pruning and watching for disease is really useful. I have a new east-west raised bed at my house in Seattle and will use these tips to grow various tomatoes! Thanks for filming this and the other videos!
Thanks for the videos! Please keep them coming, you're very good at making things clear to a beginner garden like myself. Also, without having to spend a fortune as other videos will have you believe. This year I'm trying yellow tomatoes for the first time, should be interesting 😉
Love your videos project diaries. I'm growing tomatoes at the moment 2021. I live in England too. so yeah, currently the weather has gone quite cold after a 3 days of hot a couple of days ago.
I have just discovered your videos and enjoying them. I am still relatively new to vegetable gardening but had a very successful tomato crop last year. We experience quite dry summers and charged for water. I therefore water my garden by hand. At the time of planting I insert a plastic milk bottle by each plant. Holes have been punched in the bottom to drip the water into the soil. Every three days, I top the bottle with rainwater and a weekly calcium boost with rinsing from the latest milk bottles, and put the lid back on the bottle. This stops the water from evaporating too quickly.
I’m a new gardener. Last year my daughter Colleen and I grew a cutting flower garden here on the farm. As the head gardener she managed the garden to a beautiful harvest. My daughter Marcia planted tomatoes and perennials. This year I’m on my own and have started 700 vegetable and flower seedlings with more on the way. With covid19 who knows maybe I can feed the neighbours!? Time will tell. Thanks
I planted 2 packages of seeds indoors about 5 months ago and only 1 of those seeds sprouted. She has grown so much and is so happy. I named her Maria, lol
Really dude, you are so helpful and easy to follow. keep it up! Currently in lockdown in France and really focussing on teh garden for some positive energy and its working. watched several of your vids and ive subscribed :)
Great about the egg shell. One tiny idea is this, when I hard boil eggs I save all shells through out year. I take a bunch and grind in my blender to powder then add to plant like you did in video..
I've decided to grow some veg this year but i have a problem, I live in a groundfloor flat with 2 cats who will play with any plantlife i have inside, They are outdoor cats but seem to enjoy eating my plants so.... I have access to the garden and plan to use growbags under a pvc walk in greenhouse thing for my tomatos, I will germinate the seeds first on tissue and then into small pots before transplanting outside to bags. I'm In Essex, one of the warmest spots in the UK and I've bought myself a load of pots compost and seeds for this year. Your vids have been a great help getting me up to speed on what i need to be doing, thanks for sharing, appreciated! :)
Great video. Very helpful. Wish I would have found this a few months ago as this growing season is half over. I subscribed so I can watch again before start of next season. Keep up the good work
Good evening. Thanknyou for your fabulous videos. I really enjoy them. With the seasons being a little earlier this year when would be the optimum time to start sewing tomato seeds? I normally start off on my kitchen windowsill. Thank you in advance 🤗
Thanks Lee- all my toms have gone in with a marigold, some basil and some yarrow (for vigour and vitality) - first time grower so hope they are tasty. Thanks for the video- we really have the weather for it this year in blighty!
Omg this was such a great video, so many good advices. Ands yes please make a tomato companion video, what plants can be plant next to our and their benefits of growing together or so. I actually would like to know if tomatoes can be planted next to passion fruits! By the way one quick question, what was the tomato plant that you spewed is right at the end of the video? Is it like a cherry tomato? Oh yes and thanks so much🤓🤓🤓
I'm glad you like the video. There are 12 suggesting for Tomato companion plants in this video and those are the best ones. Passion Fruit is a huge vining plant that will need lots of trellis to grow up so not the best for Tomatoes. Yes! The Topping plant was a lovely cherry tomato from my "How to Collect Free Tomato Seeds" Video :)
Just found your channel... Omg, amazing growing guide and what a wonderful person you are! Very nice and educational to watch, thank you & keep on :) Cheers from Helsinki
Your video clips are always a 'Thumbs Up" worth :) Thank you once again for all these valuable tips. I have been growing tomato plants for last three years and this season from 5 plants I got only one meager, small, miniature sized tomato,. I hope, tips like yours shall help me do better next time.
