Rob, you really have an unique talent in "untangling" the most complex patterns. Many of those patterns are so cool and you hear them and ask, what just happened there? Excellent presentation of an extraordinary pop song. Byron is as tasteful as ever on this track. You noted that Bryon was a "session' drummer which is absolutely true because he did play on almost all of the Bee Gee's most well-known songs. But it's important to state that Bryon also toured the songs he recorded as well. For years. I was fortunate to see him and the Bee Gees's at Dodger Stadium in 1979 along with the rest of the studio/stage core band. To this day, the most exciting concert I have seen. And I've seen some wonderful shows from everyone to Neil Diamond in the round at the LA Forum to Skid Row with Pantera at the then Irvine Meadows Amphitheater. Dennis Bryon is truly underrated for his work in my humble opinion. I believe that one of the first loops of a live drum groove was his work on "Staying Alive" as well. I don't think it was his choice, but it turned out pretty well :) Again, cheers on this clip.

Dennix Bryon is not a session drummer, he was part of the bee gees band from 1974 to 1979, playing drums for the recordings and live concerts as well, then as of 1980 they began hiring session drummers.
