welcome to a day of café-hopping in the gangnam / sinnonhyeon area! I bookmarked a few places that are all “bunjoka” and they happened to be next door to each other haha 😋
“bunjoka” (분좋카) is a popular korean word that’s an abbreviation for “a café with a great vibe” (분위기 좋은 카페). seoul has a ton of these, and the ones I visited in this vlog definitely didn’t disappoint!
also, most of my vlogs feature solo café-hopping because I’m shy to film when friends are around. this time, I included some tips to maximize your café enjoyment when you’re by yourself (or with others):
1. go early so you don’t have to fight for seats with other groups. cafés are also usually much quieter in the mornings, which is great if you want a calmer atmosphere for reading.
2. plan out drink orders ahead. if I get a coffee at one place, I’ll go for tea or ade at the next one. research each café’s signature drinks beforehand so you know exactly what you’ll have.
3. order pre-packaged desserts or bring a ziploc bag so you can take a few bites and then bring them home. this will allow you to try something at each café without overstuffing yourself!
