Sydney Taylor well it’s not confirmed but it’s highly complied that he is. He hasn’t been in a relationship before so that’s a start. He does have very “gay like” behaviour and his best friends are mostly girls where they have a close relationship. Ariana also mentioned in like 2016 that it’s fine to have a straight guy as your best friend but she said that she wouldn’t know because she doesn’t have any friends who are straight and she was friends with Matt at the time. So I’m assuming that he is probably gay but hasn’t come out of the closet which would explain why he hasn’t had a relationship yet. Like he’s in his mid 20s, something must be holding him back. If you just look at his interaction with Ariana and other female friends it’s very gayish if you know what I mean. Expanding on the whole “Ariana and Matt are endgame”. Ariana compares Matt like her brother, during the filming of one last time she was supposed to kiss Matt at the end but couldn’t make herself do it but she was fine when it came to kissing mac Miller or scootie and they’re both straight.

I've had many friends for years say they weren't gay then come out gay eventually. My main point is actually me thinking matt is gay which is why ariana wouldn't date him but more because he is like a brother to her and I don't think she would ever risk a relationship with a best friend because if they were to break up it could affect their relationship after.
