Morris Albert (born Maurício Alberto Kaisermann, 7 September 1951, São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil[1]) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter, famous for his 1975 hit single "Feelings".
Albert began his career singing and playing guitar for a number of bands. In 1973, at a time when many Brazilian artists were using anglicised names in attempts to break into the US market, he released his first album, which featured "Feelings", the song that would eventually bring him worldwide success. The international release of "Feelings" sold over 300.000 copies and reached #45 on the Billboard Magazine Hot 100 in 1975 [2] and #2 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary charts.

In October 23, 1975 An 18 wheeler truck carrying 200 bags of cement overtook a car and about to hit a passenger's jeepney and the driver abruptly maneuvered it to the shoulder then I woke up wondering where am I and why I was lying down...in a room with 5 bright lights staring at me with peoples standing besides me, I started to move, trying to getup when I heard someone said "don't move...we're almost done" and I realized I was in the hospital...in the operating room, and yes I was the one following that jeepney in my Honda motorcycle and very lucky to survived that accident. The impact thrown me exactly to the entrance gate of the hospital. Anyhow, fast forward, during the time I was recuperating, this song (Feelings by Morris Albert) is often played in the hospital and there I met this student nurse whom I fell in love with and now my wife for 41 years and counting.
