It being so easy to recognize them by their silhouettes is a sign of good character design

Good character design: you can identify the character's silhouette Great character design: you can identify which characters' silhouette is which even when they are grouped with similar looking silhouettes Amazing character design: you can identify and picture the characters' expressions, physical appearance, etc. in your mind even though they are obscured by silhouettes

anyone else able to recognise everyone's silhouettes

Damn it's so weird that you can recognise every characters JUST by their silouhettes. It just proves how well those characters are made. Even look-alikes like Furio Tigre who was made to look like phoenix, you could tell in an instant who was who ! Same with older/younger versions of characters, you can tell which version it is just by the silhouette.

The transition from the slash on the screen to the steel samurai was way more satisfying than it should have been

My personal favorite parts: Manfred's finger wagging transitioning to younger Edgeworth -That whole thing with Valant and then his transition to trucy and phoenix, along with the bracelet -that Matt engarde part was amazing 🙏 -The younger Phoenix with Dahlia and iris -KLAVIERS GUITAR PLAYING AND THE FINGER SNAP ALIGNING PERFECTLY WITH THE SONG WAS SO SATISFYING -honestly all of it was great let's b real bless you for making this

I really freakin' love this! Every time I watch it, I notice something new. Like how these aren't just random images thrown together; you're telling part of the story: Von Karma morphing to Young Edgeworth, then the bench shaking in an earthquake; Feenie on the witness standing with older Phoenix in silhouette; Apollo and Trucy appearing with the bracelet... Well done!

It's scary how easily recognizable everyone is that's some good god damn character design right there

I love how when you ended it with Apollo and Phoenix saying OBJECTION! At the same time. That was my favorite part simply cause it show how much amazing both charaters are. Also, to me, it seem Phoenix is passing the torch to Apollo in Apollo Justice. But that just me.

Ya know, there’s smth called a “Silhouette test” which is a test to test the uniqueness of your characters, by being able to recognize them from their silhouette, the physical character design of the character is perfect.

I've been thinking for few seconds what is the spinning silhouette at 2:10 Then realization came to me and I died

Okay, but imagine how sick an actual animated Ace Attorney version of Bad Apple would be. You could start with Phoenix, who tosses the apple up to Maya, Maya eats the apple and then drops the core, which becomes Edgeworth. Edgeworth does his finger wag to transition into Pearl, shattering the Sacred Urn, and one of the shards becomes Mia. Von Karma is next, giving an evil grin and holding up the taser, and then it becomes Franziska cracking her whip all serious, only for the camera to rotate around to Gumshoe, who's just vibing to the song. So many possibilities.

I love thinking about who the character sillouhettes are and when I know them why did i expect this to be bad...

Probably the only AMV worth a like. 10/10, recognised every one of them

Ok, but like the animations and character silhouettes are so recognizable its not even funny, I could call out each character by name just from those two things alone, THAT is GREAT character design! Also I didn't know how this series would blend with Bad apple, but it works and its amazing!

I tried singing the English lyrics to this and I'm surprised how well it matched in some places. It _had_ to have been intentional. Shall we go over them? *(Disclaimer: I've only played/watched the first two Ace Attorney games, minus case 2-4 [because I just didn't feel like finishing JfA since the time I watched 2-3], so I might miss a lot of these. Oh, and some of these might be huge stretches of logic)* 0:50 _"To tell me who I am, who I was"_ - Furio pretended to be Phoenix 1:24 _"Will tomorrow ever come? Will I make it through the night? Will there ever be a place for the broken in the light?"_ - kinda sounds like something a depressed, brokenhearted lover would say, and from my limited knowledge Phoenix loves/ed Iris but it never went anywhere 1:41 _"All the people that I see I will never understand"_ - Regina had a pretty different (read: childish) worldview compared to most, and as such she found it hard to understand others 2:06 _"Ever on and on I continue circling, With nothing but my hate in a carousel of agony"_ - at the end of these lines, _someone_ spins around the screen 2:13 _"Till slowly I forget and my heart starts vanishing, And suddenly I see that I can't break free"_ - both Maya and Pearl (who are shown at that moment) are spirit mediums, who during spirit channeling completely lose consciousness; their "heart" vanishes (hey, I said some of these will be a stretch) 2:20-2:23 I really I wish I could say something here, but I haven't played Apollo Justice and I don't want to read all of Trucy's backstory on the wiki. :( 2:36 _"But it wouldn't mean a thing if I told you how I feel"_ - no matter what you say, Apollo, simply saying that you're fine won't make you feel "fine" 2:40 _"So I'm tired of all the pain, of the misery inside, And I wish that I could live feeling nothing but the night"_ - from what I know, Godot really misses Mia 3:04 _"Will there ever be a place for the broken in the light?"_ - I'm pretty sure Athena has some depressing backstory too, plus she has an emotional breakdown at some point 3:08 _"Am I hurting am I sad?"_ - since Athena is still on the screen, this could refer to her emotion analysis program ...and at this moment I realised I was looking at the extended English lyrics that are longer than the Japanese ones :/ Oh well, like they say, "there'll be no more turning back", so I better finish what I started! :D 3:18 _"All the hatred in my eyes building up an evil plan"_ - I'm pretty sure that's Bobby Fullbright, or at least the guy pretending to be him, hence the "evil" part 3:22 _"Standing lonely in the night, with the darkness by my side"_ - white Phoenix standing in the darkness, with black ("dark") Apollo on his side 3:25 _"Looking deep inside myself, and revealing only fright"_ - as the magatama and Apollo's bracelet appear, both of which can be used to expose something hidden inside a person And that's all I could find! I know it's been already stated but this video does an amazing job at showing just how recognizable the characters' designs and especially their animations are! Some of them weren't as clear standing completely still, but then you'd see the figure do one of their characteristic gestures and it'd be perfectly clear!

The transitions in this video were absolutely fantastic, I gotta say. And while I didn't recognize every character, I got 90% of them. Everyone has unique silhouettes and movements,

Theres a lot of incredible moments in this but the one that really gets to me is seeing Miles and then the sillouhette of gregory edgeworth watching over him. Anything with those two always makes me emotional

Not just silhouette, I can even tell the expression on their face

the biggest bother for me here is who exactly is in their module forms and which ones are in sprites. the witnesses were sprites and I know Apollo Athena Phoenix and blackquill but that's it.

The best thing in this video is that you can get all the references (like you can understand why does Dahlia appears when young Phoenix part goes) but even if you didn't know them you wont get spoilers
