On July 25th, 2017, ‘Fortnite: Battle Royale’ was released by Epic Games, ushering in a video game dark age dominated by games focused around being the last man standing. Quickly Fortnite became the titan of the video game industry, collecting as many as 250 million players by today’s estimates. This tidal wave of Battle Royale games flooded the gaming market, suffocating previously adored games. The most notable victim of this overwhelming surge is Mojang’s very own ’Minecraft.’ Released in 2009, Minecraft quickly accrued an active player base in the multi-millions, shattering records one after the other. The game promoted creativity rather than destruction, and often received high praise for its unconventional play-style. However, as a result of the growth of Fortnite, Minecraft’s player base has rapidly diminished, as infidelitous gamers from across the world turn from one game to another. One RU-vid creator by the name of MineworksAnimation emphasizes this narrative through their piece, “Bad Fighter.” ‘Bad Fighter’, a Minecraft recreation of the mediocre Imagine Dragons smash hit, ‘Bad Liar’, tells the story of a Fortnite default skin presumably ‘dropping in’ to the Minecraft realm. The song begins with a simple yet profound line: “No Rush no tears / won’t sit around and sulk here.” This is clearly a blatant reference to the 2013 motion picture Rush, directed by Ron Howard with a musical score composed by Hans Zimmer. In the film, English playboy James Hunt, portrayed by Chris Hemsworth, utters the immortal line, “The closer you are to death / the more alive you feel.” This quote clearly demonstrates the mindset of the Fortnite default skin, as quickly after awakening in the unfamiliar landscape, he without remorse executes a wild hog. Later in the work, Mineworks again comments on the increasing violence in video games, saying that “ a shooting spree / beats diamond swords and spears,” as the default skin prepares to enter a village of unsuspecting civilians. The verse builds to a bold climax as the default arrives at the village, golden SCAR in hand. Initially, the villagers are welcoming to the newcomer, even going so far as to immediately offering him a box of what seems to be adult toys. The default skin almost seems to accept the gift, but in an unexpected turn of events, he swats the basket o’ dildos down and begins opening fire on the village, killing four unarmed villagers and injuring a plucky cavalier after he is trampled by the horseman. This is without a doubt a reference to The Greenlanders Saga, a 13th century epic that tells of the voyage of the brutish Viking Thorvald Erikson. The connection becomes even more clear when one realizes that Thor is the premier character played by Chris Hemsworth, who utters the quote from the aforementioned motion picture Rush. When he sets foot in a new region called Vinland, much as the default skin does when he discovers that he has been transported to the Minecraft realm, he encounters the native inhabitants, known as the Skraelings. Thorvald’s immediate reaction, as is the default skin’s, is to attack the natives rather than initiate peaceful diplomacy. Thorvald possesses superior weaponry when compared to the primitive spears of the Skraelingar, as does the default skin. However, unbeknownst to these antagonists, their actions may come to bite them in the rump later on. The solemn verse that plays as the injured horseback rider gallops into the capital city of the Minecraft Overworld tells of the plans that are in place for the attacker. The singer croons, “ Oh I’ve been crafting four / Oh I’ve been crafting four golems, golems, golems.” Taking a more outright approach to his words, the lyricist clearly invokes the four horsemen of the apocalypse: Conquest, War, Famine, and Death with the repetition of the four golems. After a brief demonstration of the construction of not only the four golems but also a suit of armor for the constructor, the sole defender of Minecraft as a whole, we see the golems along with the armored knight charge into battle. They advance on the Fortnite default skin as the singer cries that Fortnite is “ grossly overpriced / even though [it is] free.” This quote, perhaps my favorite, truly captures the essence of the conflict between Minecraft and Fortnite. It touches on prices beyond monetary, such as the moral cost it takes for one to indulge in Fortnite. The possibilities and implications of this line are absolutely boundless. Following this line, the Fortnite default skin dispatches of three out of four of the golems with a well placed hand grenade, while also injuring the Minecraft knight. However, just as the chorus begins, one golem charges from the smoky remains of his cohort and leaps at the Fortnite default skin. The battle that ensues is positively electric, as the two fighters trade blows, only for the Fortnite default skin to amputate the left arm of the final golem. This exchange however gives the Minecraft night supple time to regain his strength with an antidote, and he confronts the default skin just as he begins to make his way to the capital city. With an impeccably-aimed arrow to the shoulder, the Minecraft knight is able to stun the default skin, giving him enough time to close the distance and begin hand to hand combat. The two then grapple until the Minecraft knight eventually emerges from the scrap victorious. As an indication of the finality of the duel, the injured golem reappears only to absolutely wail on the default skin’s limp body, surely turning it into a corpse. Before the film comes to a close, we see a celebratory cheer from the Minecraft knight, indicating that the fight is over, and Minecraft has won. This final scene demonstrates the hope felt by not only Mineworks themselves but also the entirety of the Minecraft community, that Minecraft will once again reign as the titan of the video game industry. But as evidenced by the continuing dominance of Fortnite and other Battle Royale games, Minecraft continues to lurk in the shadows. Perhaps this work is nothing but a cry in the dark from a long forgotten game that is spiraling into anonymity, and even though Minecraft will probably never reclaim the title it once held, Minecraft fans can rest easy knowing that their game will never succumb to the greed present in Battle Royale titles such as Fortnite. A game does not necessarily have to be popular for it to be enjoyed. As long as Minecraft fans continue to craft on, she will never die.
Does someone talk about 1:12 ? Poor Villager, he just wanted to give him some free food ( hard collected apples), an default , kills him . Poor village , he even smiled friendly ,R.I.P ????- 2019
@@sebastiandelgado6104 i steal their crops and replant them. Repeat this a few times and by the next replantation you'll have enough crops and the villagers dont lose anything.
Guys Jonseys life is literally jump off a flying bus and then grab weapons and kill people of course he is going to murder the villagers it’s in his instincts to do that
Jonesy massacred innocent villagers that offered him food and shelter. Steve fought for his villagers; his game; his nation. He didn't give up, he fought to save everyone that died from Jonesy and his mass genocide.
This is the single greatest piece of musical art that has ever graced this earth. The story this beautiful piece tells is absolutely immaculate. From the lyrics and music, to the animation itself. The iconic and unique characters really make this amazing. Some of note are: Villager, Villager with food and most notably, Villager with a tankard. Fortnite Man’s emotional and physical pain really tied into this character’s backstory. Minecraft Boy is also an amazing character. His bravery and confidence really make him unique. His willingness to help save his beloved village is inspirational. About the lyrics: they are inspirational, outstanding, mind bogglingy magnificent. The way it goes from Fortnite Man speaking about how he is in “a paralyzing fear” whilst he is “stuck in here” (referring to Minecraft world, of course). Him calling Minecraft Man a “bad fighter” because they aren’t as mentally and industrially superior as he is. Fortnite Man wants to prove to Minecraft Man that HE is more powerful, that he is the best game. Truly inspiring. The way Fortnite Man changes from calling Minecraft Man a “bad fighter” to calling himself a “bad fighter” as he is absolutely demolished by the Minecraft boy truly shows these character’s development. Amazing. I would also like to point out the pure emotion you feel while watching this masterpiece. This song is so incredible that it literally makes you feel sad for the villagers and the iron golem. Normally in sad songs you just develop these emotions by watching something sad happen, but this song legitimately forces you to be sad because of how powerful it’s story is. Overall, I just wanted to say: this is the greatest song to have ever been created. Peace out ✌️ **does a backflip** **drops microphone** **your mind is blown**
hi how are you diamond armor regen potion god apple strength potion and punch a tree to break it invisibility potion harming potion vs a boi with a pick and gun
Well I mean your being a bit hypocritical I mean are you saying you never loaded up a new world and just like emidiatly burn down an entire village for shits and giggles
To be fair FORTNITE BR is about literally killing everyone and be the last one standing, and you can’t tell me you haven’t at least killed an innocent wondering traveler for the leads

Currently, I'm crying so hard. There are no words to describe how beautiful and well-put-together this story is. It was truly magical at 11:12. I shed a tear when I read that part. Particularly at 16:34, that part was just so heartwarming that words can't describe how I felt. There was a great deal of detail in the climax that I absolutely loved. Oh, and don't forget the conclusion. I have never read a book with a better conclusion than the conclusion of this one. I am so grateful to you for creating this absolute masterpiece. There is no doubt that this is one of the greatest films of all time. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, and despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, and fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it shortly to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece, I was brought to tears listening to this and seeing the bacon go whirly swirly in a circle countless times. it absolutely moved my soul, and I don't think I can ever be the same. this bacon has changed my entire mental state, I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. I have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life. I will move on, gotta move on, as the song says. the bacon is so inspirational, it shares its vast wisdom with all of us, and we are all so lucky that it would bestow its great words with us. we are all children on bacon. hail bacon. hail bacon. The spinning bacon, rotating in one direction with this music... This made me tear up. How could such bacon do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the bacon spins, showing its lightly salt-covered tan skin. I can hear the crunch just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the bacon scraping the dark, smooth velvet floor. The flavour, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing with her love for this rotating bacon. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any piece of bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top-tier and very life-changing. This is one of the greatest works from a piece of bacon I have ever seen especially at 57:42.I cannot express in words how much this RU-vid video has changed my life. The video is about the meaning of life, and it has given me a new perspective on how to live on my own. The video is so powerful and thought-provoking that it has become an obsession for me. I have spent countless hours analyzing every frame, every word, and every nuance of the video. I have replayed it so many times that I can recite it by heart. It has helped me to understand that life is not just about material possessions or worldly success, but about living a meaningful life that makes a positive impact on the world around us. It has taught me that life is about making connections with others and helping others to find their own meaning and purpose in life. The video has also helped me to let go of my fears and insecurities. It has taught me to be courageous and to take risks in life, even when the outcome is uncertain. It has taught me to be resilient and to keep going, even when things get tough. I cannot recommend this video enough. It is truly a work of art and a masterpiece of storytelling. It has changed my life in ways that I never thought possible. I urge everyone to watch it and to let it change their lives as well. Steve and Alex Respawned in the Acacian Village while the RBLX rebuilt the HQ through a unprotected Game copy from Julius Cole) Game 4: @MC Village (RBLX boy and girl got an army of yellow RBLX newbs to surround the village, the Pillagers helped Alex and Steve by getting on MC's side, Julius Cole died afterwards, the Roblox army got pwned) Game 5: @RobloxHQ in real life (Real life MC fans raided the HQ in California, this guy called Bill Gates bought the HQ and shutted it down for good, Roblox is dead.)
