I oddly like the language, but Seoul seems kinda bland and fundamentally commercial. I don't feel it has the charisma and variety of Japan. I feel that Korea has the same issues as Japan in terms of relating to the West. It's culture seems kinda sterile and overtly insular without offering much openness to new or novel experience, lol. Just my opinion. I don't feel I'd want to work there, I'd rather holiday. It's got the same issues we have in the West, plus a hankering for outdated cultural behaviours. The bowing, the honorifics, the expectations, the lack of appreciation for just being an authentic individual for the sake of being an authentic individual without being negatively judged, lol!

N1B I listen to both but tbh I prefer to listen to specific groups by agencies and artists (like artists by American one and groups and companies and mostly underground by korean one)

I almost only listen to korean music (i lsten to some grunge and aestethic music too tho) because for me italian music (as an italian) and american music too can't give me certain emotions

Ahhh, I remember the underground VV:D days with Zion.T's "Click Me" and Crush's "Red Dress". I'm so glad they found mainstream success and are so well-known in Korea (and even the world) now - they def deserve it. I hope the artists in this playlist hit it big in the near-future too :)
