This a masterpiece!!! I love the original soundtrack and this version just gives me the chills! I like how it resembles TMNT IV and MegaManX soundfonts, it's epic! Just missed the "game over " theme, I'd loved to hear that old favorite in this version!
One of the greatest soundtracks of the 8-bit era. You did an excellent job! If there was a 16-bit or arcade style remake of this game, this would fit perfectly.
Your version of the Arranged Batman 1989 Video Game Soundtrack utterly BLOWS...... just...... BLOWS the original out of the water! If a Super Nintendo version of said game was ever created, I'm more then certain it'll use your Arranged Soundtrack, you did one heak of a job on this =)
After listening to said soundtrack through Winamp, I'm actually glad you made it so there's sound coming from even the Surround Speakers! If only Batman 1989 came out for the SNES, they may make it THX Certified =)
If a hacker like infidelity ever ports this game to SNES, I assume they could support this audio for it. That would be very cool have a direct SNES port of the game plus this soundtrack, even with surround sound too.
Awesome SNES tunes as always, love these Batman ones in particular, Sunsoft really were awesome at making great tunes and these compositions sound so good I would be fooled if you told me these were made by them, keep up the awesome work!
You nailed this time. Really managed to keep the intent of the OST. The NES stage 2 always sounded to me like something intended to a TMNT game. The SNES arrangement only build up that feeling on me. The stage 4 was one of the most mature and sophisticated music on the NES to me. Your translation to the SNES was very good but, IMHO, you kinda forgot about the bass on that one. The NES original have a few notes I feel you didn't translate well to the SNES. But overall I'm very happy with the results.
That's awesome!! Even for a 3yo video! The SNES is certainly one of the best sounding consoles of his generation, and this Batman soundtrack really shows it off!
This slaps in all sorts of filthy, disgusting, and deviant ways. I simply love what you did with this. Consider my face well and squishily punched. THANK YOU for giving us the SPC archive, too! PS: Only song missing seems to be the cutscene track? Minor thing, I know...
Haha thanks! I'm glad you liked it so much! Yeah, there's no cutscene theme. I didn't do the game over theme either. I didn't really like that the style was totally different from pretty much everything else, so I didn't do them.
Honestly, only sprites need to be upgraded. The background tiles are so good they basically don't need any improvement. Also technically you can do that, some emulators like Mesen allow you to add 'skins' to games. I've seen people try to upgrade e.g. Castlevania 1 to look more 16 bit this way.
This game has always had such a standout soundtrack to it, and to me it helped define the "Sunsoft" sound. I don't think it sounds bad at all, but I have to wonder how these tracks would sound if you applied the Super Castlevania IV soundfont to them.... or Secret of Mana? Anyway, masterfully done, NintendoComplete!
This is honestly one of, if not, the *coolest* things that you have done. I honestly didn't expect this arrangement of the *ENTIRE* OST, but here I am listening to it in awe. You should totally do Castlevania 3's OST in SNES form next. Just imagine the possibilities!
:) Thanks! I know you've seen the lion's share of stuff I've posted over the years, so that's really cool of you to say. Yeah, I'm not sure about Castlevania 3. The music is fantastic, but that's a huge soundtrack (!). When I think about the time I spent making this and then I look at that game's track list... oof. Anyways, I like Castlevania 2's soundtrack much better.
Man I know this had to of taken weeks, one of my favorite nes games Love your arrangement 🤟 Btw since I’ve tried recreating entire soundtracks before, I learnt a lot of musical theory from trying to do that. What I’m asking is if that’s the same case for you too, do you have any original works? I’d love to hear them one day on your channel if you do
Thanks! :) I have learned a lot from doing things like this. I actually have do some originals, but I haven't posted them since I don't think most people really come here looking for that, and it seems like a lot of hubris to think that my original stuff could compete with the pros from back in the day. Who knows though, if I ever come up with something that I'm super proud of, I might :)
You should try listening to sword master , quantum fighter: kabuki, bucky o hare or uninvited/shadowgate. They have a sound track that will **** your ears in a good way😆😁
I literally just learned right now that the game DOES somewhat follow the plot of the movie, with second stage being the AXIS Chemical Plant. I never connected the dots! I thought it was like a sewer or something.
@RisingBeast00 The .it files? I created those in Openmpt, which is an old school style music tracker. Once the .it file is ready, you can feed it into snesmod to get an .spc file. You can then put the spc file on a flashcart and the SNES will play it.
love this soundtrack, now i wish i could modify a batman NES rom and add it to it, I do own an original cartridge, but I wanna spice the emulator instead.
