In Austin, TX, a female suspect needs to be restrained due to her aggression. In Portland, OR, a male suspect is brought in for public intoxication and needs to adjust the way he is speaking to officers, and a female suspect is brought in on a probation violation. In San Diego, CA, an uncooperative male suspect claims he was he never resisted arrest and just wants to be home with his girl.

Sadly, the Portland Sgt. Gorton speaks of no longer exists. The housing shortage and a ton of other factors changed the atmosphere. No longer open and welcoming every where, now sullen and bleak. It was THE destination for a long weekend. Not anymore. Even businesses are leaving the city.

Portland does have a homeless problem. But so do most big cities. It comes from a combination of low wages, high housing prices, political gridlock, the closing of mental institutions, and smug moral superiority. Not enough people think, "This could have been me if I'd had a run of bad luck." No one who can set policy seems to think that at all.

i've been to L.A. county jail a few times (never for anything serious but i had traffic warrants i had to clear and couldn't afford to pay) and i don't know if it's just because they're on camera but i DO NOT remember the deputies there being anywhere near as nice, polite or helpful as the people running these jails. in fact i was threatened with physical violence more than once over the most minor of infractions, verbally abused regularly and i was only a petty offender. truth be told i was more scared of the deputies that ran that place than i was any of the inmates.

I am an ex cop. I don't trust none of them. Thank God for body cams. Keeps them honest and helps catch the bad ones. Jail staff are not deputies. They are correction officers, COs. Most COs want to be cops. Most I encounter can't pass the PT test. Once they pass the PT test and get on a force. They get fat all over again. That's why they need all the technology and 5 to 10 units to catch one person. I can outrun most, and I am disabled. It's ridiculous and funny

I think the question is what started her in the first place instead of condemning her we need to know why and what is she running from that she need to use drugs as a coping mechanism we all have coping mechanisms if it's not drugs is gambling is it's not gambling is eating if it's not eating is alcohol play some alcohol is shopping if it's not shopping it's sex we have to think about these mechanisms that we use for coping and hers is drugs what led her to drugs for a coping mechanism😮

The way these law agents act in these videos is sickening. There seems a commonality; a self righteous, control hungry, you-owe-me respect, attitude from the jailers. They act as if not giving them respect is a crime, and agitate at the slightest hint. Notice at around @8:45 prior to when the jailers aggressively shove the calm arrested person into the cell, they did so because one of the jailers didnt like the arrestees "delivery" @8:59 "the way youre speaking to me Im not really feeling it" followed with immediate aggression. Then at 9:15 "...after your in their... and you're working on your delivery... then we'll work on getting you through the process". So, they delay processing because they don't feel respected enough? Sickening. Being law does not equate to being right, just, fair, good, or logical.

It’s so funny how these people get drunk, steal, & other things that get them in jail & it’s almost always a reality check and they’re always sorry & beg God to get them out of jail but most of the time as soon as they get out, they go right back to doing bad things again.
