Taopoon is underrated not only by foreigners but also Thais. Just because it is on the purple line that is not many work place and tourist destinations. Some people living in Bangkok have never visited this area but when the southern line is finished this line will go along Bangkok old city. it will be very close to Khaosan road. Also the shape of Bangkok is East-West, when you go a bit north from Taopoon it's not Bangkok. It's Nonthaburi so people feel it's far just because it's not in Bangkok. but when you look on the map, it's the same as you live in Bang Na or Bearing station. and you pay much cheaper. another station that I would recommend is Bangson the station next to Taopoon on the purple line. Many condos to rent also travelling between the purple, light red and dark red line is only 20 THB when means you can rent a place in any purple line stations for your normal house staring from 5,000 THB/month to keep your big luggage and go to DMK airport by train for only 20 THB then fly to other part of Thailand from DMK airport with just a small backpack. As a house owner and a housing agent focusing on this area myself I can tell that the properties around this area are oversupply the owner can't wait to get someone to rent. You can get the real deal here easily.

You saw pajamas and I wonder what's up with women (or young girls) wearing pajamas out and about in middle of the day. Fashion trend? Makes me smile. Good vid and also a bit sad--as Pat often mentions--that much of the character of BKK will be gone in coming years.

A part of the city I know very little about , been to the station twice. However I will go and explore it further.

wow you explore Tao Poon which is quite a local residence zone. One good thing is that rental fee here is quite affordable, comparing to CBD areas such as Sukhumvit, Asoke (or BTS line). e.g. you can find studio room at 7-8K Baht from condos in this area, but you can't find this price on Sukhumvit area. Most of residents are Thais, with few foreigners (but I think more foreigners would know this location since Tao Poon and Bang Sue district is now a train hub). Nice to see you there!

Just want to say that over all good video but you rotate camera 180 degree a lot . That make audience feel motion sickness . You can talk in behind the camera , do not need to turn to your face to talk . If you want to talk to the camera , just cut the part of shaky cam out.
