Thank you for making me aware,i was consulting some counselors and after seeing this video i started realising the points you said. Great job!! I guess there might be many like me who wish to study abroad but have very little idea about the process. Admission, eligibility, criterias SOPS, LOR, IELTS.... So we end up to consulting agencies.

Actually, I've been dumb enough to reach out to one of such counselors. Finally, when our conversation reached to the point where they started feeding me forcefully for their choice of colleges instead of mine, I really got fed up with them and stopped seeking such sessions. This year, I applied for an international scholarship but didn't take help from them at all. Even though I didn't get selected, I'm happy that I did it all by myself. Moreover, it even increased my understanding and presense of knowledge. Keep doing what you do, Murrad!❣🙋🏻‍♀️

If possible Murrad can you make a video on non-collateral educational loans. It would be helpful. I have received an offer from a University in London, I went through Chevening and Commonwealth scholarships. But found that, for Chevening I do not have work experience of 2 years and Commonwealth scholarship conditions that after the course I have to return to India. Please, if you could help me out and many others as well. I have also referred to all the videos you have made on UK. Thank you.

I believe this is one of the best videos about what happens when you end up meeting such a counselor and consultancy where you end up choosing what they want you to. To avoid such circumstances one must do their basic research in terms of eligibility criteria which are very much visible on the University websites. Apart from all this the questions and answers created by Murad are a part of any consulting as you first need to understand the student profile and background and not just go ahead with any University just because the student want to get into that University. So I believe there is nothing wrong in asking questions to the student related to their profile and understand what they are looking for in order to provide them with better options.

So i cracked it a better way by asking 2 counsellor saying free service but point is there is nothing free in this world that triggered me first. The point he (counsellor) said there are similar budget collages in uk i was like why do i need other collages if i aim for the top and why to waste time. Its true, rather than free ilets prep that they offer i just approached my school english teacher 😅 and the rest can be done by self as collages have litrally put up everything in ppt to clear students about processes

What about the counsellors who charge money from you and help you make applications and have been doing for a lot of years and have actually sent a lot of people to the top colleges?

Let’s say if we are not meeting the min requirement criteria of say 2:1 uk equivalent, so should we simply not apply in those unis, or should we still apply to some of them, as they most of the time mention that the applications are evaluated as a whole? And, also coincidentally I was looking at this xyz uni a few days back. To me, it looked fine, triple accredited, course structure was good as well, so is there any problem? Like one shouldn’t apply there or in similar xyzs?

Brother! Here in Telangana the consultncies are spreading new/truth/rumours that Top 1000 qs ranked universities are not accepting admissions from students,who completed their Btech with more than 15 backlog count thoug they has done internships,trainings and certifications.

I could really relate to what you are probably conveying here in the message and since I personally noticed this problem, we are coming up with a product solution which can resolve the Missing Road Map ( for a student )before moving ahead for a discussion with a counsellor or university rep. I buy this fact that 95% of student user community especially in India is driven by higher education in international Universities. ( However I put these students these categories) the problem actually lies with student population who genuinely seek good university and the study abroad consulting companies are involved in selling than Counselling.They sell their product/university programs and ultimately leading to mismatch of expectations and bad experiences since they are already caught by then .

Hi same experince I really want to do diploma in pharmacy technician in Canada but these agents simply refuse my choice beacuse i have already done b. Pharmacy from india. When i did my research on LinkedIn i found n number of indians who did b pharmacy from India and now doing pharmacy technician diploma in canada in reputed colleges and when i tell the same scenario to agents they say it is a ug course and u cant do it , your visa will get rejected.
