I just came back from Scotland. You have to go. They're warm and beautiful people. Of Mexican decent but a Scotsman at heart. I've always had a fascination with Scotland and the bagpipes since I was 8 years old.
See them live every now and the during the summer in Germany. They´re brilliant! Thanks for the pictures, they make me want to head for Scotland right now.
What an awesome track. I saw Saor Patrol live in Germany once and they just blew us all away with them drums and pipes. Great music, great emotions on my end :D
LOVE IT BRO! I and my lady are coming over next summer to visit Scotland. It is SO beautiful and being a firefighter, i have a love for the pipes! Stay safe
the true sound of alba, brilliant from the patrol, I can't wait till I move back home to fort William by the loch, as every day passes the call gets stronger, soon I will return the my homeland, the homeland of my ancestor " the black Taylor of the axe" and lochaber will be forever different, alba gu brath
That is amazingly cool. Donovan told me that the pipes player, Charlie, has been in Gladiator and the recent Robin Hood (both with Russell Crowe) and b/c of that he became friends with R. Crowe. Evidently, Mr. Crowe purchased the battering ram from Robin Hood and gave it to Charlie to put in the fort. Awesome!
Im welsh, with Scottish ties, but gonna wear a custom kilt for Wales, and my tribe. Aka kilt is celtic , encourage the use of it to all who feel the beat.
Was privileged to have seen these guys a couple of years ago @ Grandfather Mtn. Met a guy the other day in ATL (Donovan), who claimed to be the manager. (He might be full of it, but I'll give him the benefit of doubt.) He told me how these guys give most of their $ to fund a replica of a Scottish medieval fort wherein they do recreations for folks. That is so cool and admirable. (Get the kids to enjoy their heritage!) Anyway, hope these guys grace us in ATL soon. Sláinte, Soar Patrol!
nice work there glenz...as always...i always like to hear the pipes and drums AND watch such great pics of scotland...amazing landscape....thanks alot for sharing such beauty and for your great work...keep on going m8 :-) greetings from munich
This is stirring! I want to shout "A Bellandaine!! A Bellandaine!!" and grab a sword even if my ancestors weren't highlanders. (Ours were border rievers from what I understand).
here in central Pennsylvania surrounded by the name of Campbell, swetarts,McFadden, McDermott and a whole lot more that don't realize their own history what a shame
Not all Americans, just the majority. Look at modern Scotland, though. Still yearning to throw off the yoke of the English, but willing to substitute it with the yoke of the EU. If there were still any bollocks under those kilts they'd aspire to true sovereignty!
Fiona Murphy, I'm American. So what you're saying is, I'm stupid? Ah, well, don't ever change, sweetness. Be sure and always wash your broad brush with a good mild shampoo so it will last you all your life.
‘Smath Sin guys! Iss kohmeen Leam Seo! Alba Gu Brath! "Tha mi ag iarraidh gu a dol gu Albannach Cho Moran! Albannach Orsht Mo Mhàthair side! Tappadh Leibh! Hope my Gaelic is all right, want to speak our language and I don’t have anyone to speak it too! Thanks for keeping the pride alive! :)
