Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the Russian side is not ready for a just peace. Nevertheless, representatives of the aggressor country will still be involved in negotiations. The President of Ukraine stated this in response to a 24 Channel journalist's question during a press conference on the sidelines of the Peace Summit.
To recap, the first Global Peace Summit, initiated by Ukraine, is being held on June 15-16 in Bürgenstock, Switzerland. Delegations from 92 countries and 8 international organizations are participating. The summit aims to agree on three of the ten points of Ukraine's "peace formula" at the highest level - concerning nuclear and food security and the release of Ukrainian prisoners and deportees, including children. Russia was not invited to the first Peace Summit. The final declaration of the Peace Summit was signed by 80 countries and 4 organizations. India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and others did not support the communiqué. However, any countries can join the document after the summit ends.
