If someone literally owns this wheel, I will recommend a product (I am not affiliated, I just love it) called "Sugru" which is silicone putty or clay that cures into a solid, heat resistant rubber. It's available in small packets and it's not that expensive, especially if you only have to use a little, as well as fitting into the smallest emergency road kit in case something needs to be sealed (also recommend small tube of fast setting metal epoxy in case you crack a frame/wheel, JB Weld is well known but it takes a LONG time to finish curing to trustable hardness). Make sure you clean your parts thoroughly and use some release agent so it doesn't stick to them. It can try to fuse with some plastics so a mold can also be made using your favorite method. I find in most cases there are also inexpensive, reusable thermo-morphic plastics available that soften in hot water and can be used to make fast forms/molds and are "good enough". Thermomorph is one brand name but they're all the same stuff - it's basically the same material they use to make dental impressions, but hasn't been tested and certified okay for putting in your mouth so it's a LOT less expensive than the other stuff.

Exactly. The important issues are inside. For me, way before speed and range, I want my EUC to be safe at home and while riding it. I was waiting for an in-depth analysis of the internal organs of the Hero. Many thanks for such a professional review.

Nice review. Most EUC enthusiasts know about Gotway/Begode’s lack of QC but out of the 5 EUCs I own, 2 Kingsongs, 2 Begodes and 1 Inmotion, I’ve had the least, actually, no problems with my Begode wheels and I easily have twice the number of miles on them than the other brands because they’re so much fun to ride. Their smooth power and speed delivery can’t be beat and they’re actually more rugged than they appear; mine have held up to many crashes and drops better than the others. They are easier to take apart and work on also. I do agree they are not very water resistant so I don’t ride them when it’s wet, but I’ll keep buying Begode wheels because they give me what I like most in EUCs (minus water resistance). I would buy the Hero if I didn’t put a deposit on the s20 because on paper looks like a better value. Thanks and I subscribed.

Begode ride quality, power and speed is one of the best in class no doubt. But when the EUC cross such huge sum that you need to pay for it, it is not longer enough. We are waiting for V12 and S20, of course, to make deep dive comparison, than it will be clear what company is the best for now :)

My big takeaway is I need to inspect EVERY wheel INSIDE before riding it the first time, as it's only one wheel. If it randomly locks up I can get hurt really bad, even with gear on. We should do it for all EV, I can see now how we can fall into a maintenance complacency unheard of in the combustion powerplant world, but at least with 2+ wheels I might not faceplant immediately if one of the tires is suddenly stuck in place (make a lot of smoke while the tire shreds but unless you ram into something you'll probably stay upright).

Wow what a review... Subscribed... Researching which one to invest into for long term riding, best ease tire replacement, off-road use, long distance riding, all weather usage, quality of build, safety, etc. I was considering the Begode Hero, but not anymore, and happy I watched this video. Here in British Columbia retail after taxes $5100.00

Well made video. I think you might be a little overly harsh about some aspects of the wheel's construction and design... but for the most part your spot on. Gotway/Begode/Extreme Bull (I wonder what new name they will acquire next 😂) seem to be clueless as to how to make a high quality product. Sometimes they have great ideas, but they always find a way to screw things up. I have 3 Gotway wheels (1 King Song, 1 Inmotion, and a S20 coming soon) - and I both love and hate all 3 of them.

Yeah, the MCM5 is gonna be my first and last Begode/Gotway wheel. If their newest, biggest, baddest and most expensive product has such ridiculous amateurish design desicision, it means they aren't improving anything and just throw more expensive components together.

End of the day, China has to send its engineering students to Germany instead of whatdaheck they educate them. Even simple stuff like common sense is very common I guess from Fukien U (a real name of a Uni FWIW). I'm stoked I ordered a RSt instead of any Hero's or Zero's. Maybe I'd be in for Mitsui Zero 😝

I own 4 Gotway wheels. Nothing here suprises me. Unfortunately I'm still disappointed their attempt to improve quality has the same old problems. Now that Leperkim is coming out with bigger and better cruisers and Kingsong and inmotion has 100 volt wheels I think I'll never buy another Gotway/Bigode/Extreme Bull wheel. Whoever their engineers are, they need to do better.

Well I disassembled my Inmotion V8F with IP55 rating and the controller is sealed in the same way like in the Hero. Also no connector and I have to open the controller. Not only Begode needs to iprove their wheels ;).
