As a Former Marine I just can’t bring myself to wear one in public. No desire to have the cops called on me for walking around with Karen’s freaking out at a man in body armor.

Pretty sure go ruck, crye, any gov surplus store selling old plate carriers etc. I personally have a crye and love it but like I said, it’s actually rated for ballistics etc and is what I use at work
Nice review just in time for the Murph. $120 seems like a good deal. I don't know how some of the other companies charge like $200+ when they are all made in the same factories 🤷🏻♂️
@NoFate247 just an update how it compares to the others in their lineup. I think it holds less weight. I picked it because I didn't want velcro. Great work BTW.
@NoFate247 40 is perfect, their website says 14.5x2 plates for the quick release version, and 19.75x2 plates for the other vests. Thanks for the responses, subbing. Take care.
I went Amazon cheap on the vest ($35) just getting into this. Doing limited distance with the ~20# plate pair. How comfortable (shoulder padding) are the WT vest with heavy??
@@NoFate247 Having run over 100 ultras i'm aware of shoulder strain. Ultra vests are not know for shoulder padding. I almost bought the WT vest last night but thought I should chill and research a bit more. I've built up the shoulder pads on my cheap Amazon vest (still trying to improve it).
