I already did ... boy that was an uncomfortable afternoon. I eventually got booted out with the security guard shouting 'piss off you Manc bastard'. Such a warm welcome you get on Merseyside.
i remember doing the etihad stadium tour aswell and at the beginning of the tour the guide asked " if everyone supported city" and i responded " no i'm a united fan" as i say that they have the video playing when the PL slipped away from us a seasons ago and the tourguide was having so much fun on my behalf but overall it was a fun experience
Yes, sadly, they played that video right at the beginning to rub it in. But yeah the staff at City were pretty nice, and the tour was good. Thanks bro!
They didn't while I was there we got a good look at everything, it had stuff like the ball Aguero scored against QPR with and Willy Cabellero's gloves from the Capital One Cup Final.
I never paid the extra for the academy and womens bit as I had to rush across town and record the tour at United. Good advice though. Thanks for stopping by, check out my channel for more like this :)
EDIT: 22.07.2020 It's amazing how many Liverpool fans think that I can predict the future from two years ago. Yes, you finally won a Premier League title, it only took you 30 years. Congratulations. It's also amazing how many of them are sad enough to come back to a video that's not about Liverpool Football Club ... and gloat. That pretty much says it all really. #typicalliverpoolmentality EDIT: Even though our group didn't go into the United dressing room, you usually get it as part of your tour. I implied that in the video, so I'm not sure why so many people didn't pick that up? I think the dressing rooms were under renovations that day, hence why we didn't go in. Any and all further comments about the United dressing room will be redirected here.
Well, the new dressing rooms are a good draw - but my two experiences of the United tour was subpar compared to other stadium tours that I've been to. Glad you had a good time though.
you usually get to go in to the home dressing room and walk down the tunnel they use today... Judging by when this video was made I'm assuming it was before the start of the 2018-19 season - if so they were renovating the dressing rooms
Yeah, I think they were renovating the dressing rooms, hence why we didn't go in. But that still doesn't detract from the fact that it just felt a little impersonal, particularly the guy who didn't want me to film anything. City were a lot more welcoming ... I hate to admit. Thanks bro.
Ultimate Bucket List When I went on the stadium tour at old Trafford I had a fantastic “leader”. I got to see the dressing room and she was funny as hell (the leader). And I recorded and they didn’t say a word.
@@UltimateBucketList yeah my experience was amazing you were able to go through the current tunnel with the music and all them extra things and also when the leader isn't looking you just take a step of the tiny hill of grass that leads to the main flat part of the pitch lol
All those history lovers ranting about CITY and its "lack of history". Every club has history- every club. Some has successful history while others may not have the glittering past. But "they do have the history". And on the flip side, what CITY is doing right now is making history.
I am a liverpool fan but I am a massive football fan in general and I love a stadium tour, your honest opinion on these stadiums is brilliant, awesome videos, my favourite stadiums so far Benfica the tour is mind blowing and the allianz I went to the nou camp and it was huge but the stadium is not as good as many of the stadiums in England
Hi Cally. Thanks for the kind words. I was actually in Lisbon and could have gone to the Benfica tour, but I just didn't have the time. Maybe I'll go back and do it. Also, I'm at Camp Nou now and I have to agree with you. Be sure to subscribe and check out my channel for more upcoming videos.
Are you? Which part of Manchester are you from? Because I'm from West Gorton (east Manchester). I'm guessing you're not even from England. I'm probably right.
Oh yeah, Yankees jersey in Boston is asking for trouble. I'd love to visit Fenway ... with my Jays jersey on. I don't think I'll draw the same ire as a Yankees fan. I did do the Anfield tour in a United shirt ... now THAT was uncomfortable! Thanks bro.
It's a great tour. Lots of history. A bit smaller that you might expect and, as you said about Old Trafford, "rustic." But it's a great ballpark, and the surrounding area has some great places to eat/drink.
@@theangelwarriors5227 yet another cynical comment. And you've just highlighted the bigotry that is Liverpool fans ... "we love everyone except if you like a team from Manchester", then we indiscriminately hate you for no other reason. Pathetic. Bigoted. And the funniest thing? You don't even see your own hypocrisy.
@@theangelwarriors5227 I really do know my history - far better than you. I just choose not to be a bigot and display unnecessary hatred. Shame you can't do that.
@@UltimateBucketListI went to the united tour in 2015, and they showed us also the dressing rooms, the players tunnel, we went also pretty high on the stands where an amazing tour guide told us everything about the pitch. That was a great esperience. Don't understand why you saw only some of the features.
@@giacomosanguin392 you'll have to ask United why that was so. I also did a tour where they showed the dressing room, the actual tunnel and high in the North Stand ... and it wasn't much better.
@@UltimateBucketList maybe that was my same tour, probably the part in which we went higher was in the north stands, but I'm not sure cause that was a long time ago. Anyway I found it quite nice, but I must say we were a school class and we had a "personal" guide, who was probably more keen to explain us things and talk to us. I was probably luckier than a common visitor because of that
If you ever come to New York City i suggest the Rockefeller Center tour. Gives you a great history of one of the most famous construction projects in American history.
Me and my grandma and my grandmas s sister and husband are the only united fans out of a family of city fans so there is always constant fighting in our house
As a city fan loved the expression in the city change room, I know its unbelievable :) but Im really curious, why didn't you try the other way round at united, wear a city shirt at united and check their reaction :) anyways, thank you for the video, Cheers
Admittedly, the circular dressing room was cool. What I wasn't impressed with was people elbowing me out of the way so that they could take pictures of themselves with the shirts - hence the pained expression on my face. I didn't wear a City shirt because a) I don't own one and b) I'm not a sellout. I'm a red. You're welcome, I'm glad you like the video. Check out my channel for more upcoming videos like this :)
2 Brothers this emptihad sh*t is so annoying. Man city have had a higher average attendance than Liverpool and spurs for the last 3 seasons and the photos of empti stands on Twitter are all from 2005
If you ever come to Brazil, necessarily to Rio Grande do Sul, I won't do that. In the Gremio area, for example, it is forbidden to use red as well as in the Inter area to use blue. I am not just talking about the rivals' shirts, but about the colors themselves. Something very bad can happen to you if you're so bold around here.
In my opinion the Manchester City tour is better because when I went you got to go to the women’s stadium and see the training pitches and you got to hold the premier League trophy
I am a united fan but the Ajax tour is much better than any of the tours on your channel. I would highly recommend you heading over to Amsterdam and doing a video for it.
I very much doubt it'd ever beat the Dallas Cowboys stadium tour (also on my channel) but I wouldn't mind going to Amsterdam. I've been to the Amsterdam Arena before and it was a cool gameday experience.
Ya I was at Old Trafford before and have to say that they do show the real tunnel /dressing rooms and so much more it’s probably because of the time and day u went as they have to get ready for different things
It's just jealous United fans, did you see the empty seats when they lost 2 0 to Burnley last season with 25 minutes to go, at least they got back to London earlier
Thanks for visiting out beautiful stadium. We may be rivals on the pitch but we are brothers outside. Much appreciated 😌 Hopefully you sort the glazers out soon
I went on the city tour and our guide was showing us the trophies but then this Liverpool fan came and the guide said we won this cause of you such brilliant banter
I already went on a tour of Anfield with a United shirt on ... boy that was an uncomfortable afternoon. I eventually got booted out with the security guard shouting 'piss off you Manc bastard'. Such a warm welcome you get on Merseyside...
@@Pilis659 That isn't the actual attendances. They always include season ticket holders, whether they turn up or not, and then tickets sold including corporate, Executive Boxes etc. Doesn't mean they actually attended. They don't count people as they come through the turnstile you idiot.
As I'm responsible for entertaining corporate clients I tried to book a tour inclusive of lunch around the ethiad just before covid began and was told of a five week waiting list for the 9 of us (maybe because they weren't doing it every week day at the time) so I called Old Trafford who told me just two days wait to which I agreed and booked. Maybe things have dramatically changed since this clip got done!!!! Old Trafford was quite good but will have to wait for Covid to end before trying the Ethiad again Very good informative clip though, thanks 😊
I'm a Rangers fan who's been to both OT and the Ethiad. I would say both tours (I did them in 2016) have their merits but you get a greater sense of history at OT. And the MU guides were VERY friendly (they don't seem that friendly in your clip). I don't remember anyone forbidding me to video either.
You got lucky! I've done the tour at United before and it was a lot better than that. Having said that, Manchester City had a better tour ... as much as it pains me to admit.
That's not strictly true, but it was quiet on the day that I went. The tour sizes are more manageable, so that's actually a plus in my opinion. When there's lots of you, it kinda ruins the experience.
Thanks bro. I must admit, the most overtly sensitive people I've met are the 'offended types' who think that it's 'disrespectful'. If I saw someone in a Liverpool top at Old Trafford, I wouldn't care. They pay their money, they're entitled to be there regardless of what team they support. It's pretty common in American sports.
@@UltimateBucketList yeah true it shouldnt matter but people get offended or just kick off. I get that there is a rivalry but when ya get fans wanting to go and punch a guy in the face for wearing a different shirt... its like grow up man. I know Man utd Supporters, my Family are all Everton fans im only Liverpool in my house apart from my missus. Banter but some people go waaaaay overboard.. like you though mate. Your Not arsed 😂😂 subsribed and watched a few more.
Thanks Chris, I appreciate your comments. And yeah, totally agree - some people should just grow the hell up. I've currently just done a tour at the Parc des Princes (PSG) so that should be a good video in a few weeks time.
@@UltimateBucketList thanks mate. I'll look out for it... i want to say good luck for the match tomorrow but we both know we want the other team to lose 🤣🤣
You could visit Old Trafford wearing a City shirt to show us the reaction of the fans and employees there. Apparently you had no problem to visit Etihad wearing rival shirt. Nice video.
Having recently done the United and City tour I have to agree that the City tour was the better one. United staff were cold and even arrogant at some times. Never really felt welcome. Our guide made jokes about United players which didn't seem very respectful to the club. I must add that the United museum was excellent...so in short I think the tour guides need to be loaned out, they can learn a lot from Liverpool, City and Arsenal.
Yes I would agree with everything that just said, with the exception of the museum. Whilst it has some cool stuff, it's really crammed in - I think with a better layout and more interaction, it could be really something special. City's tour is still better and yes, they could learn from Arsenal, Celtic & Liverpool for sure 👍
My school had two hours to spare once on a school trip, so we just went to old Trafford even though 9/10 of us were Liverpool or Everton fans, including me, we were surprisingly the only ones there. we did get into the dressing rooms
