晚春

草树知春不久归，百般红紫斗芳菲。
杨花榆荚无才思，惟解漫天作雪飞。
- 已是晚春，花草树木们知道春天很快就要回去了，翻箱倒柜地把所有的美丽解数都使出来了，一起争芳斗艳，一起万紫千红，一起花团锦簇。
- 可怜杨花和榆荚没有什么惊艳的私藏，也没有什么才情，实在想不出什么别致的表达喜悦和不舍之情，憨拙得只知道像雪花一样漫天飞舞。
- 描述了暮春景色。表达了诗人惜春的心情，同时也蕴含应珍惜时光之意。

The trees and grass know that soon spring will go away;
Of red blooms and green leaves they make gorgeous display.
But willow catkins and elm pods are unwise,
They wish to be flying snow darkening the skies.
- It described the scenery of late spring. It expresses the poet's sentiment of cherishing spring, while also implying the idea of treasuring time.
