there's still a legit view that it's better to be like CLSK- to remain absolutely focused on being the best possible BTC minor, with no distractions. All your energy and resources on BTC... and an argument that this approach has better return on investment. you could even argue that these companies attempting to drive a whole extra revenue stream will actually give CLSK more advantage as they remain laser focused on the worlds greatest asset, total efficiency. BTC mining alone is more than challenging enough.
That means focus is off, it should be James in focus. I think he's autofocusing when there's nothing where he stands to focus on. Either that or its just a webcam and not that great.
Ive been telling you about wulf for some time now. I hold clsk, mara and wulf. Wulf is my biggest bag now. I did avg down the most since it took a beating more than any other miner. But im glad i went with my own research and instinct. I still think all miners will go up a lot more but based on my analysis wulf was poised to move the most for several reasons
Wulf are overvalued relative to IREN. Doesn’t make sense to buy it as iren have a better balance sheet, no debt, 20eh fully funded etc. Wulf have 60m debt, 9/10eh and only aiming for 13eh this year. At current btc prices, I don’t see wulf paying off their debt this year. That is a worry cos they should be growing more I like Wulf but 1b market cap vs Iren 1.5b is a no brainer. Wulf will be a good play next cycle IMO
Wulf said it pay the debt off by end of 3Q or beginning of 4Q the stock is gonna sky rocket after that bc most people don't want to buy just bc of that
My mom works at a data center out where I live and nvidia rents out entire spaces without putting a single thing in them just to have them ready if the need arises. Nvidia is certainly thinking ahead on these data center demands

Another analysis I have been waiting for - thanks so much. Really look forward to all the AI-related metrics that James will be developing wrt miners. On a side note, I think one will continue to see a massive appreciation in CORZ. Even if the current price maintains for another 2 weeks, one of the warrants will kick in. This will bring in sufficient financing to wipe out the existing debt, which in turn will allow them to pursue hash-rate expansion over which they have been hugely constrained. On a related note, be careful with picking strike-rates for options. For miners that can be potentially bought out, there is great risk in purchasing higher strike-rate options.

Riot's lowball bid for Bitf might have been all about misdirection: in their May report, Riot said they had a lightning strike at Corsicana (North America's biggest btc mining facility) and shut-down the whole facility, for 3 days, as a precautionary measure. If this news had leaked, it could've been a problem for Riot, seeing as they've had ongoing issues with their phase 1 immersion cooling facilities at Rockdale for over a year (due to a weather event). And Corsicana is ALL phase 1 immersion cooling.
not necessarily. you look at the contracts, the duration of contracts, who contract is with- see what happens when economy slows and funds dry up. some of these contracts are short, or with new upstarts that have no financial stability. we'll see. CLSK may dominate with their total focus on BTC and efficiency. and BTC has changed with mainstream investment coming in. we may not see quite those dramatic drawdowns in the future, at some point.
Apparently, based on Core's numbers, the BTC price at which it becomes more profitable to mine btc than use rigs for HPC AI is roughly: $113k. It's not that simple though. If the HPC AI is 'on-demand', there will be lower utilization and so the price of btc would need to be lower to make HPC AI more profitable. Conversely, if the HPC AI is on a fixed-term contract, that becomes problematic for miners when btc passes $113k-or-so because they have committed those rigs to HPC AI. So kinda-like balancing on a high wire.
What miner is cooled with water? Did not find much for H100. I’m interested in dissipating the miners heat to water to heat a home, two birds with one stone, sorry if this posts twice.

I started shifting more from CIFER into IREN as I saw market re rating it. But this is a huge aspect and needs to be included in btc miner analysis. hope IREN doesn't get bought tbh

a miner metric that doesnt have IREN at the top is a useless metric, imho ; RIOT .needs to fix its own abysmal efficiency out of rockdale before attempting hostile takeovers...RIOT production is ugly and they focus on this?? this hostile takeover bid is terrible optics and also liable to backfire.

Your model is flawed. ❌ Your EBITDA Margin section is skewed towards BTCs that hold BTC on their balance sheet (thanks to the new FASB rule). RIOT would have an EBITDA margin of -7% if it wasn’t for the price gain of their HODL. IREN on the other hand, has a EBITDA margin of 22.37%. In your model, RIOT ranks much higher in terms of EBITDA margin than IREN. I wouldn’t point this out if you wouldn’t already have a section dedicated for BTC Held (HODL). So, essentially you are weighing having HODL twice. Also, your MARA ranking on the EBITDA margin section doesn’t make any sense. It has a red field, yet has a EBITDA margin of 271.78% (thanks to its HODL). Something like WULF has a EBITDA margin of 56.14%, yet ranks higher than MARA 🙃 Maybe you are using old data for this? Anyways, I love your content but this ain’t it….. I thought you were the “data guy”, but your data is pretty off here.
