The 2024 Shanghai Trophy includes Short Track Speed Skating, Figure Skating and Synchronized Skating.
In figure skating, the Chinese team has 10 athletes, including women's singles An Xiangyi and Chen Hongyi, who is competing in the competition for the third time.
In the men’s singles figure skating, notable participants include South Korean Cha Jun-hwan, the silver medalist from the 2023 World Figure Skating Championships.
In the short track speed skating, 40 athletes from China, South Korea, the United States, Ireland, Australia and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will compete.
This year’s competition takes place from October 3 to 5 at Oriental Sports Center. The three-day competition will feature more than 230 athletes, referees, and technical officials participating. The athletes represent 15 countries and regions.
First held in 2016, the Shanghai Trophy has been held four times, establishing itself as one of China's most influential International Skating Union events.
