Thanks. The only states that require an LLC operating agreement are California, Delaware, Maine, Missouri and New York. So if you’re not in those states you don’t have to have one at all. But it’s a good idea to get one and you could get one setup later on if needed.
I wouldl think it's better to set up the EIN after my LLC is established. That way, I'll have the correct name of my business being "name of my business" LLC.

What if I already have a business license for rideshare driving (because L.A. County required it) but want to start a multimedia production company? Do I need another business license for that LLC? Or can I do business as both under the one license?

I’m not an accountant or CPA. But my understanding is that the PR tax advantages requires you to live there half the year. If you go that route you gotta do that 6month and day thing bc you’re likely to get audited when using that tax advantage.
I just used a online service - and they told me that I needed to file a proof of ownership and a legal separation document and that I needed those documents for them to be my registered agent. Also it would be an extra $200 for them to do this for me. Mind you these two things were offered in there top tier package. I live in Texas so is this new because I don’t remember needing this when I set up my ex husband LLC four years ago. I feel like they were just trying ri get me to spend more money on something that either isn’t needed or I could file on my own. What’s your thoughts?
Ok so, say 1 year fee is $100 but then after 5 years says ($ X amount).. does that mean youre charged that higher X amount after 5 years or is that what youre expected to have already paid by then, after the 5 years of the fees needed for service, taxes, renewal fees etc?
The 5 year fee is the total cost after 5 years including initial setup fees and recurring annual fees such as your annual report fee or registered agent service
Some states allow you to be the RA and others will require your business to act as the RA. You must be located in the state with a physical mailing address. Some people don’t like being the RA bc of added responsibility if you’re sued but most people just don’t want their home address on the public database if they’re a home based business but that’s up to you and your comfort level.
