I should have done this review. I've used Faultless Premium Professional Starch (with Fiberenhancer ®) for years. I use it to starch denim with a personal technique I employ. When starching start inside out and use an old clean pillow case to protect the denim. Spray starch evenly applying plenty of steam from your steam iron. This type of starch is excellent in protecting the color of your denim and leaves a clean scent unlike cheaper aerosol starches that do leave flaking. ¡Excellent! *****

I have been told that flaking is caused from not letting the starch soak into the fabric before putting your iron on it.

I been using starch on my clothes since around 1975. Flaking is caused by many factors: Improper iron temp setting, sprayed too much starch, starch not penetrating garment, too much build up of starch on your iron. Before iron, dampen a rag and clean the bottom of your iron, 2-3 times, select proper temp setting, spray lightly & lightly rub in the garment. Wait couple minutes & iron. After ironing for many decades, I have some tricks up my sleeve-Lol.

Niagara spray starch is another brand its actually maybe better than faultless. Niagara spray starch is also from Kansa City MO

Niagara sucks. You will get flakes, it isn't as effective in protecting clothing fibers like Faultless and leaves and doesn't leave a nice clean laundered scent like Faultless.

I would like to use this for pre-cuts. I have used liquid starch and it Distorts fabric before cutting and pressing. Will this hold fabrics shape?

I'm not trying to be mean, only giving constructive criticism... maybe you should do a little, no, a lot less of the obvious teachings (like how to remove a cap and spray an aerosol can or what the address of the company is, etc) and a little more teaching about the actual subject you're teaching on . You lost me before you ever started ironing!

Sta-Flow is great for thick cotton shirts that are difficult to iron and really unruly. The process for starching and ironing is much different though. I learned this years ago when I was in the military. When using Sta-Flow, I put a high concentration combined with water in a plastic spray bottle with functioning nozzle. Sta-Flow comes on thick at a high concentration, so I usually thoroughly spray the shirt I want ironed and let it dry for about 2 hours. Once the shirt is dry, I then proceed to iron and get major kinks out. After this is done on an unruly shirt, the wrinkles don't usually come out entirely and I end up finishing the job with a little Faultless anyway. 😉
