I love the phoenix plus, but just a little over what a DIY garage can afford. The Thinktool Pros looks exactly the same as the phoenix plus. Sometimes I think the same chinese company makes all the aftermarket scanners but with different brands, if you look at the market. I mean there's Launch, there's Autel, Thinkcar, Topdon, Foxwell, Xtool, Kingbolen, etc. and they are all relatively the same.

Best and cheapest that does the most thorough diagnosis. Like bi directional testing, ECU coding and programming. In particular I was looking to flash a ECU for my 04 Saab 93 ARC, auto 2.0T. The car I got it out of is my previous 04 Saab 93 2.0t Linear manual 5spd. I can either send them out of state and wait at least 5 days to get it flashed and send back or I can get one of the diagnostic device that would allow me to do it. Any ideas/advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

@@MikeeMike1 You need the oem software and a passthru J box to flash an ecu (expensive!). You cannot do it with a scantool. Saab i think uses the GM tech2 software.
