This afternoon I went to the local headfi shop to compare my Tea with Softears RSV, QDC V14, EE Odin. Two months back I went to a headfi show and demoed a bunch of iems: UM MEST II, Maven, Mirage, Mason V3, Acoustune 1597ti, Noble Audio Sultan, Oriolus Isabellae, Softears Turii, RS10, 64Audio Nio, U12T, U18S, Moondrop S8, Hiby Crystal 6, VE Elysium, Openaudio Alkaid, Simphonio VR1, Shuoer EJ09. To my ears and taste, my fav are the MEST II, Elysium, VR1, Tea, Turii. The Tea really stands out in value for money.

@@Dimas-Brasil Yes it is, not only it’s great value for money, the tuning and performance is approaching top level. It’s at the top tier in transparency, layering, naturalism. It’s very good in resolution, timbre, accuracy, imaging. The treble is very good, delicate, clean and extended. The mids is very good, pop up very well against the background instruments. Timbre is very good for female and good for male. The bass integrates very well to the mids. Bass is punchy and clean. The only thing I think it could improve, is just slightly more mid bass. But that’s my personal preference. The new UP seems to be tuned to have more mid bass. But that’s double the price. I haven’t come across a better valued iem as Tea.

Completely relate to the part where you describe your music library as a visual reminder of people, places and experiences. We each have our own soundtrack and memories attached to songs and that is the heart of this hobby. I've been thinking recently about why I like the voicing of the iem sets that I like and maybe I'm trying to recreate the sound memory I have of listening to certain tracks on boomboxes or whatever.

XENNS UP is out of this world dude, I’ve always wanted a set like this that hits my ears hard. I enjoy more than the MEST on my library just because of the bass and appealing sound. Amazing rec it is blowing away my friends too. I can’t wait to see where it lands on your ranking Cons: stock tips are just absolute garbage, cable is not quality, IT NEEDS AMPLIFICATION TO DRIVE THESEE phones won’t do it any justice

@@takumifujiwara6483 it’s all there, I’m not looking for much, with MEST MKII it’s more treble a little more in your face, but the UP has all that info just slightly less in your face. The stage and 3D is enough to be “somewhere” in the music instead of everything clashing. It’s enough imaging for me, very pleasent treble

See the thing about it is for me... I dont like two pin. ...so no matter how "good" a set may be, I just get put off by two pin. Dont ask me why... I couldnt answer it, maybe its the tactile feeling click. The MMCX on some sets is high quality like no matter what the cable wont rotate, others you can tell at a glance its crap. I guess on that front the two pin has it beat. I still prefer the two pin.

Did they just kill off the EJ07 with the release of these? I can't see anyone paying $250 more for the same drivers with a slightly different tuning.

No, the EJ07 is still on sell. The main price increase is that we have a resin shell instead of a CNC one, where you can choose color of faceplate and chassis. You could still get your 07M with a resin chassis with a small fee though.

EJ07 has a tad more sub bass than Oracls. Otherwise those 2 are close. UP is a slammer. The bass lovers tribrid. Variations is more sub bass and more gain. Probably best suited for libraries unlike mine
